It's a bit depressing realy.
From the sounds of it there's a whole bunch of kids massively fucked up, for whatever reason, and no-one's going to come out of the thing unscathed.

On the other hand, the most popular links at the bottom of the article had another article about some rare clouded leapord cubs, complete with photos, so that cheered me up.

Shame that they're so rare. They have the same problems breeding in captivity as other big cats often do.

I dunno.
All I know is that when big cats breed in captivity it's not unknown for them to try and kill each other instead of mate. I think they're better off with several square miles of rainforest/jungle/savvanah to go off and do catlike things in without a bunch of shaved apes looking at them.
