BORK SWEET BORK
In honour of today's spectacular thread borkage, I shall kick off the proceedings by sticking a thread up and then fucking off for a bit.

Here, have a picture of the moon looking like a big cock as well.

Apparently I've missed something- what's borked?
Meanwhile, conga-rats a few days in advance!

Evening Loon
The day thread got borked at about 3:30pm. I shall modify the original message.

And thanks!

Evening DG!
& Evening Loon,

Loving that Diablo Swing Orchestra - got the Butcher's Ballroom album. It's demented, but it's great.

Glad you like it!
It has one track that's really gripped me- "D'Angelo". Simple acoustic guitar with straightforward operatic vocals- incredibly beautiful. I keep going back and listening to it.

"Balrog Boogie", on the other hand, makes me grin.

I spent two days last week and this morning dismantling a machine to replace one part. It should have taken about three or four hours to do it- only it turned into a comedy of errors that involved me driving all over the place to gather together tools and parts and materials, and getting the new part machined down because it was 0.03" too large to fit.

And the previous two days were spent raking leaves and rigging up my gas grill so it could be used again. Unfortunately my three burner grill now has to have a two burner replacement in it because I couldn't get one with three. And best of all, I got the tubes reversed so now I have to turn the left knob to light the right side. Fucksocks.

Balrog Boogie makes me grin too!
Just a generally very good album.

You did better than I would - anything mechanical or practical, I am just absolutely useless.

The best part of this morning
was when I hooked up the grease gun to lubricate the bearings, pumped away with it for a minute and wondered where the hell all the grease was going, then heard a hiss and pop as the rubber O-ring popped out and sent a ribbon of green grease shooting out. I had to take the plate back off, wipe grease off of everything, put the O-ring back and put it all back together, then do it over again.

I can still smell it on me- the shit will be in my skin for days.

EDIT: and going back to the subject of DSO, it seems that Ann-Louice Lögdlund actually is an opera singer with stage credits. Here are a couple of shots of her, anyway.

Evening all
I'm off on a tiny holiday tomorrow!

I'm very excited.

Evening
@Loon: That's a bit of a bummer. Oh well, at least the errors were a comedy.

@Mrs. Bin-Living: Anywhere interesting?

That sounds like pure filth...

Nah, it was okay.
It got me out of the office, anyway. I got to wear jeans and a tee shirt and flannel and get some grease on my hands. Better than being an Excel monkey any day.

But my hands do still smell a little- I'll scratch my nose and get a waft of petrochemicals.
