Davros's fantastic wedding jacket which he wore out in the evening.
Labia and Nostrobor in kilts.
Jennymemonic's drinking game.
The chippy near my hotel which served ace chips and which I partook of after each night's festivities whether I was hungry or not.
Tourette's seeing a balloon she wanted in the park and chasing it like a mong so she could hold it.
The ocd waiter in the Italian restaurant.
Not being sick in the morning.
Tulip and Beekers dressed as lesbians.

*huggles*
how are you today lovey?
I was all pleased I got to meet you AT LAST!
And everyone else, obviously.

Well it goes without saying that meeting you was bloody ace : )

Was a lovely evening - and I liked being dressed as a lesbian!

Be out and be proud : )
@Beekers - you are the handsomest lesbian I've ever seen.

What were the rules?
And what was OCD about the waiter?
( , Mon 13 Apr 2009, 18:34, Reply)

I read that as "does hairy legs".
Somehow I like my version better.

Aw, fanks very much!
*beams* *almost bursts out of sensible shoes with pride*

It was Jennymemonic's vagina drinking game. Too complicated to write down but lots of fun.
The waiter took bloody ages to straighten our cutlery and napkins when he came over with them.
He also was the spitting image of the priest in Father Ted who was really boring and they were trying to get rid off.
( , Mon 13 Apr 2009, 18:46, Reply)

Actually, that's acting like a flaming queen not a lesbian!
*stops*
*noms cous-cous*

They are the most sensible shoes I've ever seen.

I wants some of them. I wants now!
Also, of course the chips were good;
Chips = unhealthy
Scots = good at being unhealthy
Ergo, Scots = good at making chips.

If we're talking about what Scots are and are not good at...
...it seems they're all rubbish at turning up to bashes!

They aren't cheap...

I spent most of Saturday night throwing up, then couldn't really breathe, then got a fun trip to hospital, then couldn't sleep that night, or the next day, and haven't really slept since.
Is that a decent excuse?
( , Mon 13 Apr 2009, 19:59, Reply)

I would be daft enough to buy them but I don't like being stared at.
( , Mon 13 Apr 2009, 19:59, Reply)

yes it is.
*send feelbetters and hugs*
Are you feeling better now though?
( , Mon 13 Apr 2009, 20:01, Reply)

People won't be
I haven't worn them since the end of summer but with nice days coming up I shall be getting them out again.
( , Mon 13 Apr 2009, 20:02, Reply)

I would definitely consider buying some at some point. How secure are they on your feet?
And not so much Tulip. Tried some toast this morning, regretted it this afternoon. Was meant to be going out this evening, but I'm back in bed instead. STUPID MISSING BASH!
( , Mon 13 Apr 2009, 20:05, Reply)

that's horrid. I hope you get well soon.
then you have got to come to a bash.
( , Mon 13 Apr 2009, 20:07, Reply)

Pretty secure - that thing on the back is a pull tab for drawstrings that run around the open part.
Colin's blog has a sizing guide too.
EDIT: TRL - those are mental even by women's shoes standards.

Reporting for duty after many nights in the Cumbrian wilderness with my folks.
Loon - how the hell could anybody wear THEM?
Where are the heels?
Are they for a girrafe, or possibly a tapir?
( , Mon 13 Apr 2009, 20:30, Reply)

I really know little about them- but they look feasible enough to me. As I understand it, the key to walking in ridiculously tall and thin stiletto heels is to walk on the balls of your feet and not put any weight on the heels themselves. These shoes just take it to the next logical step.
Also, if you draw a line from the center point of the model's leg straight down, it passes through the flat part of the sole where it meets the ground. They're stable enough.
( , Mon 13 Apr 2009, 20:33, Reply)

That you'd have been sizing them up for yourself, but surely they'll need a LOT of thigh muscle to make them work.
When you walk, you lean back and with every stride you effectively power off your heels because that's the straight route off your calves.
Then again, I'm not a fashion model so how would I know?

Work is making my brain sad on a Monday night. I wants to be out having the funs :(
( , Mon 13 Apr 2009, 20:45, Reply)

That's basically what she's doing in that pic, only she can rest her heel against that thin sliver on the back of the shoe for balance. All of her weight would be on the balls of her feet, and almost none at all on her heels.
I would think that those shoes are meant to be seen as you walk or stand for a few moments between long spells of sitting.
