It's another lovely day, so come inside and shelter from all that healthy fresh air...

Blair!
good to see you mate - haven't seen you for a bit - how're you??
(, Sun 19 Apr 2009, 8:12, Reply)
hey there VC!
i'm very well, thank you. apart from the annoying cough the 3 of us are sharing at the moment...

been really busy this week, what with the bank holiday robbing us of usefull work time! as usual the phone started ringing tuesday morning, mainly folk who had been at home for a long weekend and had discovered/realised loads of annoying wee shitey jobs that need doing. not complaining about the work, but the ringing phone meant i didn't get any actual work done until tuesday pm meaning this week ended up being 3 1/2 long days... didn't get my dinner until after 9pm wed/thur/fri which is just a wee bit too late...

and you? how's things going, my little ray of sunday morning sunshine?
(, Sun 19 Apr 2009, 8:22, Reply)
Darn those annoying coughs!
I'm good - better then I was last night at least - I ate a LOT of chocolate last night to console and calm myself.

School goes back tomorrow. I'm totally gutted. But still! This means I have 6 and a half terms to go now! then I'm there! Woo.
(, Sun 19 Apr 2009, 8:28, Reply)
yeah, i read your posting about elderly perv bloke and such...
damned goat needs shooting.
and spilling teh wine is always a pain...

back at school tomorrow? woo-yay.

it's a wee bit windy here today, i envisage babyblaireau (now 28 months) and i flying a kite...

and i'm going to see ross noble perform this evening, which is a win!
(, Sun 19 Apr 2009, 8:33, Reply)
you lucky lucky bastard!
Ross Noble ey? you lucky git you.

stop telling me stories about you and the bub. It's making me all motherhen like. I remember my mum taking me to fly kites when I wee (jee my mum is fucking awesome).

Yes. Pervy creep can go the fuck back to Colorado or wherever the fuck he was from.
(, Sun 19 Apr 2009, 8:42, Reply)
i can remember clearly...
being 4 or 5, my sister, dad and me flying kites. we had a blue, red and green box-kite. wow!

i can remember that and it was 35 years ago but ask me what i had for lunch on thursday...

yeah, ross noble is cool. and seeing as i come from 60 miles from his hometown the dialect is not a problem.

you know the best way to deal with the broody feelings? have some kids!! LOL
(, Sun 19 Apr 2009, 9:10, Reply)
and i just remembered something...
you know those plastic banknotes you guys have? the film they make them from is manufactured less than 10 miles from my house! seriously!!
(, Sun 19 Apr 2009, 9:14, Reply)
ahah I find that hard to believe
considering I've been to the Australian Mint factory :P But hey - its possible.

And I am NOT having kids at 17. Thank you for the suggestion but it's not bloody likely! I'll stick to babysitting for now.
(, Sun 19 Apr 2009, 9:18, Reply)
seriously, it's true.
the film, not the notes. just like the royal mint don't make their own paper, they get it made for them. the film makers are called UCB Films if you don't believe me...
(, Sun 19 Apr 2009, 9:20, Reply)
oh the FILM
I thought you meant the actual notes themselves. That's cool!

/books ticket to carlisle to go see factory. :D

your 20 quid notes are purple?!
cool.
New zealand money is purposefully designed to confuse Aussies - they're all the wrong way around - their fivers are Yellow (our fifties are yellow), their fifties are pink (our fivers are pink) and their coins are the wrong shape

VC: you should see Scottish notes, they are all of teh awesome. there are 3 minting banks north of the border and they seem to be engaged in a constant one-upmanship thing with regards to groovy banknotes. put them under UV light and all sorts of fab patterns are revealed ;-)

edit: and our 50's are red/pink.

Elliot: Can't we just go home and put on our PJs and watch Grey's Anatomy?

Is that the special woollen one that stretches as you get older? Or do you have others?
(, Sun 19 Apr 2009, 14:11, Reply)
I have others
this is my rainbow beanie that I bought from a cancer clinic - they get the patients who knit to donate stuff and they sell it. It's warm and fuzzy and I love it.
(, Sun 19 Apr 2009, 14:15, Reply)
I think it would be quite hard to "tip" a beanie
Don't you need something with a rim to do the tippage?

I suppose you could pull the rainbow beanie askew. Temporarily wearing a hat at a jaunty angle seems like an approximation of tipping to me.
(, Sun 19 Apr 2009, 14:22, Reply)
aye
that is exactly what I did!

Awww buggery fuck bollocks
I thought Edinburgh was this weekend, fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck. I've barely had access to the internet so not been able to check. Bollocks. Man that's fucking rubbish.

How are you lovely ladies anyway? And how the hell was the bash?

I'm a twat aren't I?
(, Sun 19 Apr 2009, 21:13, Reply)
I went on a homicidal rampage, enraged by the lack of Batman.
I am posting from jail.

It was indeed a fucking ace weekend.
*snogs ancrenne*
(, Sun 19 Apr 2009, 21:19, Reply)
Aaaawwww where was it anyway?
Last time I checked there wasn't a venue lined up. I can't believe I bloody missed it. Tube.

And I will always like clendrix. She's luuuuuuuurvly. As are you.

So any gossip from the bash? And what have you been up to anyway?
(, Sun 19 Apr 2009, 21:20, Reply)
Cigarettes?
Lady action?

Chuck in some beer and I'll be a happy Batman.

Well I'm very sorry I didn't turn up. Blame my idiot boss and his stupid rules on internet access in work. And my shit laptop for going on the fritz. And my general shitness for managing to convince myself it was 2 weeks later than it was. :(

EDIT Any time me dear, glad you're well though. I moved back to Glasgow about 5 or 6 months ago and have had bugger all internet access since which has made me a b3ta hermit unfortunately. But other than that I've decided to bugger the kilt selling world and go travelling, hooraaaaaa!
(, Sun 19 Apr 2009, 21:24, Reply)
Heading off at the end of June
Tickets are all booked so just need to save up some cash now, which is proving to be quite hard. Can't bloody wait though.

What've you been to anyhoo?
(, Sun 19 Apr 2009, 21:31, Reply)
Ah Batman, I have missed you.
Really. I was sad not to have seen you in Edinburgh :(

I am watching a programme on paedophiles.
(This is unrelated to previous words in this post.)
(, Sun 19 Apr 2009, 21:33, Reply)
Yeah that's the plan anyway.
First port of call is Hawaii for a few weeks so that should fill my quota of sunshine for a couple of years or so.

clendrix...I've missed you too. I honestly cannot believe I missed the bash, I was really looking forward to meeting everyone (especially you two, obviously)
(, Sun 19 Apr 2009, 21:38, Reply)
Very interesting indeed!
I'm watching it with my Luis.

Batman - where are you off to first on your world travels?

Fiddlesticks and poppycock
Best lady b3tans on...well b3ta.

So have I missed anything? Any earther shattering changes I should be aware of?

EDIT Plan is New York for a few days, then LA for a few days, then Hawaii for a few weeks, then Australia for a few months and finally New Zealand for as long as fancy/can afford. Should be tres splendid.
(, Sun 19 Apr 2009, 21:43, Reply)
Batman...
Sounds excellent. Do as much as you possibly can in terms of travel. Really. No one ever says, 'Oh I wish I hadn't travelled so much. Seen so much. Experienced all those cultures.'
(, Sun 19 Apr 2009, 21:49, Reply)
Yeah I'm initially off for 6 months
but the tickets valid for a year so could end staying for longer. I've never done anything like this before so it should be an amazing excperience Have you done much travelling?
(, Sun 19 Apr 2009, 21:55, Reply)
Well,
I lived overseas for a while and I go to as many places as I can. But if you've got the freedom and funds to just wander off for a while and see where you end up, that's the best way to do it.
(, Sun 19 Apr 2009, 21:59, Reply)
To be honest that's exactly what I fancy doing
I don't really want to be too tied down in terms of having to be at a certain place at a certain time. Quite like the idea of being totally free to go and do what I want.

I'm currently watching Pirates of the Carribean 3. It's a puddle of old codswollop.
(, Sun 19 Apr 2009, 22:07, Reply)

But don't you be dissin Captain Jack, or thar'll be trouble. Aye.
(, Sun 19 Apr 2009, 22:08, Reply)
Oooooh
I'm not dissing Capn Jack at all. He makes my peep tingle more than a man should but the film is buggery poo.

I may head to my bed soon, wooooooo.

Accidentally pink gin?
Sounds....bizarre? Why is it pink?

I had dinner with a customer after work and now feel ever so slightly drunk. And a meeting on a Sunday? That's just pants.

Yeh OK - fairy nuff.

Oooooooh yeah
I forgot about the pants project, how's that going?

I just realised when I said I went out for dinner with a customer it made me sound like a lady of the night. I'm not. To the best of my knowledge anyway.
(, Sun 19 Apr 2009, 22:26, Reply)
Actually
I rather enjoyed all of the films. But that's just me.

However, Johnny Depp is the subject of a rather disconcerting man-crush. That, and Capt Jack Harkness (not the actor, the character). Oh, and Ray Mears.

Christ, I'm just a big poofter, aren't I?
(, Sun 19 Apr 2009, 22:29, Reply)
I tend to excuse myself, usually.
However, when I fart, I tend to appreciate the effect it has on others. Which are worse that Tourette's I will have you know.

You're from Cornwall, you shouldn't even be supporting Spurs. Except that Cornwall isn't exactly renowned for its football prominence :D

Incidentally, Spurs got their name from Harry Hotspur, who was a Northumbrian. Resident of Alnwick, in fact. So ner!

But yeah, I think we're going down. Which is shit, frankly. As I'll not have an excuse to go to the pub to watch the match, mainly.
