I'm eating a lion bar for the first time in many months and it's dawned on me: All the good chocolate has been around for ages.
The closest I can come to any "new" chocolate that's good is the kinder stuff which, if I'm not mistaken, was sold on the continent for quite some time before it became widely available here a few years back.

Tufnell park. Then it's all of the awesome as you haven't tried it in years.

I'm clearly buying my chocolate delights in the wrong shops!

I will be walking past a shop that sells them later though, which has just occurred to me :-D

has to be Belgian.
Or Swiss at a push. Some British stuff is good for everyday consumption, but American chocolate is bloody awful. Hershey's tastes like puke.

That they reissued the Texan Bar a couple of years back and I didn't have even one.
This is after decades spent bemoaning their absence from shops.
It's inexplicable *Twilight Zone music*

hershey's is indeed revolting. my ex brought some back from the states. it's one of the nastiest things I've put in my mouth.

I personally think the twirl is hideously underrated. I love those motherfuckers.

I worked in a factory packing Wispas. They had just come out and we thought it was very exciting packing these new treats. Suffice to say I didn't stay nubile for very long and when leaving the factory I never touched another Wispa bar again.
End of story.

thinks of how many wispas she could smuggle about her person to devour once at home

Messed up or something.
I know that American chocolate tastes like wax and ashes.
But why are Reese's Peanut Butter Cups so good?

they rock my world, which is a bit sad really

Saturated fat is tasty. That's why low fat food isn't so nice.
Reese's cups are full of saturated fat. The tastiness of this outweighs the nastiness of the chocolate, so you like them.
But just imagine how good they'd be if the Belgians made them...

Although I rarely eat chocolate. I'm typically a savoury snacker.
Mind you, I'm something of an admirer of the Toffee Crisp.
