I ordered a game cube, controller, memory card and game all seperately on Tuesday.
What is the likelihood that all of it will arrive in the post today.
Also, what is the likelihood that the postman will press the buzzer, chuck the pre written 'sorry you were out' card through the door and run away with my goodies again?

Probably.
The former: Will it bollocks.
I hope that clears it up for you becky :)

then it won't be here til next week.
And round my way they don't even bring the parcels with them, they just card everyone by default, don't even ring the doorbell. FUCKING CUNTS, the sorting office is the best part of ten miles away!

but I resent having to go there when the postman could damn well wait for me to descend two flights of stairs to get my post. Fucker.

My postie lives down the road from me so doesn't bother getting me to sign stuff as he knows I'm at work so either leaves it next door or in the porch.
what game was it?

All arrive? No chance.
Will he knock? Depends on the weather...

so, for my sins, I deal with this kind of shit every fucking day.
Sadly, Royal Mail are in many respects the best as they do at least know where all their delivery addresses are.
Actually the most pertinent question here is 'have the retailers actually sent them yet?'
I'm waiting for an LP to turn up today - but of course if the shop hasn't mailed it, it ain't coming.
Less than 10% of Royal Mail traffic is delivered late. Late by their standards, anyway...
*EDIT* as for will he knock and run, the question is does he/she normally?

I was thinking of getting one for the simple reason that one of the Star Wars games available also contains all the original Star Wars arcade games.

Mario Sunshine and Zelda - Wind Waker.
These are 3 of the best games of that generation.

I work in mail order as well and wouldn't go near Royal Mail.
Their 'target delivery' for first class post is now within 3 working days, although they try their best not to admit it. If you phone them up to bitch you get a recorded message saying 'if your post hasn't been delivered, please remember that we handle xxx million items a day.' So?! That means you should be really fucking good at it, it's not an excuse for being shit!
Oh yeah, and have you tried tracking a special delivery parcel? You can't track it until it's been delivered, fucking genius. Why would I want to track it after it had been delivered?
I'll stick with DHL, the things I send out get there when DHL tell me they will, and I can track them in quite some detail on the website.
Edit: RE4 is the best Resident Evil ever* for sure, although I vastly prefer the PS2 controller to that spastic Gamecube one.
*I haven't played 5 yet so this is excluded from my ratings at the moment.

super mario sunshine was especially shit.
Yep they'll all been dispatched, but have 3-4 days expected delivery time. I want them now dammit.

I would agree with Weeker on two of those reccomendations (Res and Wind Waker) but I would also like to mention Eternal Darkness that game is really screwed up.
( , Thu 23 Apr 2009, 11:39, Reply)

was no where near as good as Mario 64. I think my mum accidentally threw out my old n64 games though :(

Eternal Darkness
Beyond Good and Evil
Zelda: Wind Waker
Metroid Prime
Rogue Squadron
MarioKart Double Dash
FZero GX
Killer7
Note: your tastes may vary, but ED, BGAE and Z:WW are top notch.

I'm betting you get the Memory Card, then the Controller, then the game, and finally the Gamecube.
All on different days...
( , Thu 23 Apr 2009, 12:14, Reply)

Buy it. And then buy three more controllers. And then buy some booze and invite some friends round.
( , Thu 23 Apr 2009, 12:42, Reply)

but Mario Kart Double Dash. My other half loves this game and prefers it over any other in the mario kart series. Glad the Wii is backwards compatible as we can still play it downstairs when the kids are in bed (The Wii is plugged into the main Tv at my place while the Gamecube is upstairs in my sons room collecting dust.
All I need is for Nintendo and Microsoft to sort out the whole Rare license thing and allow Goldeneye to become a download for the Wii and then I will be happy.
