But no. Apparantly you have to have maths to do an electrical engineering qualification. Who'd have thought? Electricity is just "Press button and big spark!"

I can differentiate, I can integrate. I can work with trigonometry, stats and functions. But I've never been able to do long division.

Polynomial Long division.
That was fucked.
linear algebra is much more fun. As much as maths can be fun at least.

The joy if seeing what's going on in a complex formula, manipulating it to your own will and purposes and getting exactly the result you wanted.
It's a bit like playing with genertics to make a man with a monkeys tail and seeing it being born perfectly.

Mathematics isn't about numbers, it's about being able to think in an abstract way. Part of the joy of pure maths is just that - it's purity of processing, and I love it for the fact that there's no benefit to it, other than the knowledge of doing it for its own sake.

Hence why I dropped down a maths level.
Now I understand it all it's much more enjoyable.
But I prefer writing and blowing things up more.
