Gooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooood Morning, B3TA
How are we all this morning, my fluffehs?

*mathematical hugs all round*
(, Wed 13 May 2009, 8:08, 27 replies, latest was 16 years ago)
you can fuck right off
with your mathematical hugs.

Fluffeh hugs all the way! *hugs fluffily*.
How goes it?
(, Wed 13 May 2009, 8:16, Reply)
Yay for the hugs of mathematics!
They are cool and sensuous, like slipping in to a silk gown after a bath.

I am good today. Not happy being at work, but I can make a start on my writing.

Hows goes yourself?

Je suis tres bonne
J'ai mathematique :)

Translation, from 16-year old French:

I am very good, I have mathematics :)

Oh hell
I can read it, but not a clue how to reply. Damn you my putrid and shrivelled up language glands!

Alternatively
you could learn French?

Trop difficile, bien sur.

The joys of babelfish
Particularly when my French teacher took someone's coursework that had been done on it and translated it out in to english for us as it would read to a french person. Babelfish can't do grammer sadly, and I like doing wordy replies.
(, Wed 13 May 2009, 9:10, Reply)
Oooooooooh!
Mathematics *rocks* my sweet, remember? :)
(, Wed 13 May 2009, 8:30, Reply)
I hate the mathmatics.
Makes my head hurt : (
(, Wed 13 May 2009, 8:57, Reply)
I'm sorry BGB
have a *hug*
(, Wed 13 May 2009, 8:58, Reply)
Thanks Edmund.
I'm waiting for my bookeeper to turn up so she can do all the nasty mathmatics that makes my head hurt.

Yay for Jacky.
(, Wed 13 May 2009, 8:59, Reply)
I wish I could pay someone to do mathes for me.
But no. Apparantly you have to have maths to do an electrical engineering qualification. Who'd have thought? Electricity is just "Press button and big spark!"
(, Wed 13 May 2009, 9:03, Reply)
I can just about stretch to long division and then it all gets a bit confusing.
I can draw nice pictures though : )
(, Wed 13 May 2009, 9:08, Reply)
Skillz
we all haz them :)
(, Wed 13 May 2009, 9:09, Reply)
I hate long division
I can differentiate, I can integrate. I can work with trigonometry, stats and functions. But I've never been able to do long division.
(, Wed 13 May 2009, 9:11, Reply)
I had to learn
Polynomial Long division.
That was fucked.

linear algebra is much more fun. As much as maths can be fun at least.
(, Wed 13 May 2009, 9:13, Reply)
See?
you're coming around to my way of thinking :)
(, Wed 13 May 2009, 9:13, Reply)
nay
I just enjoy understanding what I'm doing!!
(, Wed 13 May 2009, 9:15, Reply)
Yay!
Understanding :p
(, Wed 13 May 2009, 9:17, Reply)
Thats the best bit of maths
The joy if seeing what's going on in a complex formula, manipulating it to your own will and purposes and getting exactly the result you wanted.

It's a bit like playing with genertics to make a man with a monkeys tail and seeing it being born perfectly.
(, Wed 13 May 2009, 9:19, Reply)
Yup.
Mathematics isn't about numbers, it's about being able to think in an abstract way. Part of the joy of pure maths is just that - it's purity of processing, and I love it for the fact that there's no benefit to it, other than the knowledge of doing it for its own sake.
(, Wed 13 May 2009, 9:22, Reply)
I just don't get it half the time.
Hence why I dropped down a maths level.

Now I understand it all it's much more enjoyable.
But I prefer writing and blowing things up more.
(, Wed 13 May 2009, 9:30, Reply)
"blowing things up"?
ftw

Btw, if you're watching House - Hugh Laurie was edumacated where you're going to be living O_o
(, Wed 13 May 2009, 9:33, Reply)
I knew that :D
I'm all of the excited :D

:p
as a former scholar of the same institution if you and BF want a tour, please let me know :)
(, Wed 13 May 2009, 9:57, Reply)
Yay! Mathematical hugs.
* gives the hug of pi squared *

* don't worry - that's just a normal-vector *
(, Wed 13 May 2009, 9:25, Reply)
O_o
