Freelancing
I emailed a web-design company about freelancing, and they replied saying that nearly every site they build is a Ruby on Rails site.

I'll probably get castigated for this but I'd have listed Ruby in 5th place behind the likes of Coldfusion and J2EE.

What are the pros and cons?

For about 3 years in the early 90's i shagged a gal called Ruby...
who lost her legs in a bizarre gardening accident. after the "accident" she started eating like a horse and taking much less exercise. because her house was so very spacious her other friends and I installed a MagLev system to get her around the place. sadly her massive weight (227.94kg) was simply too much for the electromagnets and eventualy (due to excessive wear and tear) we needed to resort to a system based on steel runners and HDPE bearings. it still works well to this day, especially impressive considering it was designed "on the hoof" etc.

indeed i am proud of my "Ruby on rails" system..."

gets coat...
