Hello internet
Given an email address, lets say "redacted", and a location, lets say, "redacted" University (whatever it is), and a full name, "AIPerks", and the theft of several hundred of my favourite pounds via the medium of fucking ebay, how exactly do I exact some revenge?

Just wondering. Particularly looking to those who have some legal, and entirely feasible ideas.

Have you tried moaning about it on the internet?

Maybe he could use this to meet girls?

Maybe he's giving out his own details
because he's so lonely

Hmmmmm
that sounds like a great idea. I might try that sometime.

Don't bother with paypal, they're useless bastards
Have you tried doing a chargeback? You might be able to get it that way. Or go to the police.
(, Tue 2 Jun 2009, 15:56, Reply)
Can you involve PayPal?
They tend to side with the buyer pretty much as a given?
(, Tue 2 Jun 2009, 15:56, Reply)
First
I'd say take those details down and only give them out via gaz, or you could get in to trouble.

Next, I'd say send me some evidence.

Third, I will soon have his phone number, uni address, home address, parents names and can probably find out quite quickly where they work. How much are you intending to extract? Personally, depending on the amount, I'd go through the small claims courts to retreive your cash.

ok
Police - dont give a fuck
Paypal - dont give a fuck
Small Claims - done, got a CCJ, got it served, the bailiffs never got in, referred it back to court. Its my responsibility to find him him.

Baliffs wont be able to do anything if he's in halls of residence

What if you were to purchase yourself a Honda Accord

Want me to try?
Just based on what you've posted on b3ta.

Arse
Facebook is a stupidly brilliant way of finding people. Will gaz you when I have more of an idea.
(, Tue 2 Jun 2009, 16:14, Reply)
redacted his info
just wanted to publish it for a few minutes
(, Tue 2 Jun 2009, 16:06, Reply)
.
as you've found paypal, police and courts a pile of otter arse - I recommend you sell his debt to a debt recovery agent, do a bit of googling and try to speak to them in person, for a percentage they will buy the debt from you - and or agree to chase it for a fee etc etc...

It's the only way I would chase a debtor - CCJ's people dishonest enough to steal don't care about, bailiffs should have visited though.

I can't really think of what sensible options to take, without spending money or rather too much money, if he were a company you could have him wound up, but as an individual you're scuppered.
(, Tue 2 Jun 2009, 17:11, Reply)
Why?
Why take the personal info down? It's only slander / libel if you're lying.

Isn't there something
to do with data protection?
