Quiet here today...
Guess everyone's at the bash

Must be.
Flatmate and I have been out for pizza and Terminator Salvation (it's best described as ... eh) and now I am full of Starburst and he's playing Pokémon Platinum.
(, Sat 13 Jun 2009, 18:28, Reply)
oooh starburst!
I would say what I was up to today, but it would forever cement my reputation here as being far to Oxbridgey to be tolerated

Leaping into the river?
Otherwise I'm out of ideas :) do tell!
Have just ordered bacon for tomorrow. Nom.

No, thats mayday (didnt do it then)
My college had a garden party...
It was great though, had the local ice cream (G&D's) and cookie (Ben's) shops, and a burger van (which had a huge queue all day, due to being utterly fantastic).
Also a giant paddling pool, about 3 feet deep, which pretty much everyone got thrown in at some point, luckily it was sunny enough that it didn't take too long to dry out.
And we got to see the various planes going to/from (we're not sure) the flyover for the Queen's birthday.

Aw, that sounds lovely :) great weather for it too!
My faculty had a garden party after our graduation; was lovely except for the rain and the presence of Stalker Girl! *wants giant paddling pool for the garden she doesn't have*

Aye, lovely sun, now to hide from it at the computer for the next week :P
It was also great seeing how jealous all my friends* from other colleges were of our epicly large gardens.

*well, both of them if I'm honest, but this is the internet, and I don't have to be, so there were 50, all of them models

you had paddling pool sexy tiem with all of them :)

Seriously though, that sounds glorious *misses uni*

im not
spent the morning pottering around cambridge looking for bits and bobs for my imminent house, got a wicker linen basket a couple of cd's a fillum and some second hand books. Went to the driving range and then had the afternoon with future mrs halfy.

lovely

Woo yay imminent house!
I owe you a gaz, actually; wanted to ask flatmate if he wanted any of your manga too. I love nesting like that :) when you get all the stuff you want in the beginning and admire its shininess.
(, Sat 13 Jun 2009, 18:54, Reply)
im not dead yet!
haha not much for the house is shiny, most of it is either second or third hand minimum.

The only new stuff is 5 bookshelves (my moving in present to myself) and a dining room table
(, Sat 13 Jun 2009, 18:58, Reply)
Most of our stuff is either flatmate's from his previous place
or ours bought new. Had to get an enormous bookshelf for the DVDs, it looks like some kind of monolith.
(, Sat 13 Jun 2009, 19:05, Reply)
I have
a half bookshelf for the dvds, and 7½ bookshelves for the books but the old ones are a bit rubbish. I have a perfect little niche in the lounge/dining room that will be my library
(, Sat 13 Jun 2009, 19:14, Reply)
Library!
*jealouses* We also have a lying-down one for all the CDs, PS1, PS2, PS3, Dreamcast and DS games we've accumulated. It's worryingly full but teetered alarmingly when it was standing up!
(, Sat 13 Jun 2009, 19:22, Reply)
weeeellll
when I say *library* its 5 bookshelves in a row, plus space to put another one on the back wall, one on the side and two on the other side before the patio windows start.

Not going to be much room for anything else. But since the cd's have been in a box for the last year since i last moved cos I haven't got anywhere to put them its no great shakes.

I don't have any pictures yet, or lampshades. or lamps.
(, Sat 13 Jun 2009, 19:28, Reply)
To all intents and purposes
it's a library. *pictures you with pipe and wing-backed chair*
(, Sat 13 Jun 2009, 19:30, Reply)
fuckit!
searches for wing backed chair and a decent blanket.

i keep walking around peoples houses, seeing something and going "Gargh fuck, thats another thing I have forgotten to buy!"

The joy of renting a single room means i have to buy all that crap you fill a house with

Green Starburst are shit.
Discuss.
(, Sat 13 Jun 2009, 19:24, Reply)
au contraire
They're the best.

Red Orange Purple Green is the order I eat them in.

Delayed pleasure? Nice.

It's ohh so quiet
*shhh*

Have done very VERY little today.

And Tedium, I know a couple of people at LMH, though you're a sciencer so you probably won't know them. Pah. Science. Clever people.

In other news, I will fail my Alevels.

Nonsense
That's the counsel of dooooooooooooooom!
(, Sat 13 Jun 2009, 19:52, Reply)
oooh, gaz me who
I may well know them, at least if they're freshers. There's a lot of mixing between subjects (mostly because its a trek to the other colleges to meet anyone else), most of my mates do history or languages
(, Sat 13 Jun 2009, 22:18, Reply)
Anyone
Still about?

I'm sad I can't go to these uk bashes...

If only there were an Irish bash...

*sigh*

*watches the tumbleweed roll*
*hears a sound*
ARGH! wolves!
*flees*
(, Sat 13 Jun 2009, 22:22, Reply)
Woo Yay
I am on my way home from the bash and have persuaded the coach driver to drop me off in Solihull instead of Digbeth, which knocks ten minutes off my journey and adds twenty to everyone elses.

I have gained a MTFU badge which I shall wear with pride.
