to reward myself for big improvements in my mental health over the past year. I've been thinking about it for a few months and chucked the design together last night.
Here, posting from phone so pretty big (860k)
As my good friend whose advice I'd usually ask is on the other side of the planet, I thought I'd ask you lot... what do you think?
Edit: schoolboy error - I've got the order of Neptune and Uranus the wrong way round. Fucking glad I spotted that now!

Liking that a lot. Although because of where it is it looks painful (I'm a wimp). Do the symbols stand for anything in particular?

It's most of the classical symbols for the solar system, starting with the sun and a comet at the wrist, ending in Uranus.
I'm aware the weights of the lines aren't even, and the spacing and alignment isn't absolutely perfect, and will trust my artist to solve those issues.

but you've got me thinking now.

but notwithstanding that, it's still an original design.

Or even ENGLAND against a St Georges cross.

are brilliant, especially on women. They drive me crazy. Only problem is you can't go in the Onsen (natural hot springs) in Japan if you have one, as tattoos are associated with the Yakuza gangs over here.
That one looks cool, nicely geeky too.

It's a shame that ALL tattoos are associated with Yakuza there.

Very, very nice...
As its in a place that will hurt a wee bit I recommend you have something to eat before you go and take an emergency Mars bar with you.

It's going to be a bit sharp there so relax as much as possible and remember it's less embarrassing to ask the guy to stop than pass out on the chair (unless you're watching then it's hillarious!)

I love it :)
I'd advise having something to do, either listening to music, or texting with your other hand or something... Just so you're focused on something else rather than the pain.

For a week before you get it done. After care with Bepanthen. Heals quicker.

Thats awesome. So awesome in fact, that I'd be quite happy to have it on my own body. If only I wasn't such a wuss...
I trust you'll be posting pics of the finished thing? :)

Should be later this week or early next depending on the quote.

It's original and subtle, and I like the placement. Inner wrist is sharp (as TGB says), but that won't take long to get done.

My back tattoo was a reward for a) losing 3.5 stone and b) getting over a bad break up from 2005. Got inked in January this year and it's awesome. It fucking hurt to fuck and back, but every bit of pain, blood and itching was worth it, as well as the £200 it cost to do.
In the grand old tradition of "pictures or it didn't happen" and given that none of you have met me (I'm relatively new) I'll try and post one tonight.
*runs risk of people saying it's rubbish*

I've been and had it done. Plenty pleased with myself :)
I'll post pics at some point too.
