but when your next pay cheque is October it's rather a lot of money...and if I'm honest...another shed is a luxury...but I want one!

You could try
hollowing out one of the twins and using him as a handy storage recepticle. There are two of them after all; he can be providing a service and at the same time your food and clothing bills would be drastically reduced, I'll wager.

As an added bonus
You can use the hollowed twin's organs as spare parts until the other twin needs a transplant. But then, you'd need a shed to store the organs.
