It appears I have to go to Manchester for work at the end of July
Nine o'clock start, so an overnighter, I think.

Any recommendations for things to do (and I'm not falling for a stroll down Canal Street wearing shorts and a fisherman's cap either).

I've only been to Manchester once
And that was for a job interview for a position in Newcastle. I was in the city less than two hours.

I had a university interview at UMIST
but that was two decades ago. And it was a shithole.

The curry mile is pretty impressive
if you like curries,
and units of distance.

Affleck's Palace is worth a visit.
But it probably won't hold the same excitement for you as it does for me. Actually, just have a wander round the Northern Quarter in general.

Oh and there's an amazing little Greek restaurant at the opposite end of Deansgate to M&S, Arndale etc called Dimitri's.

Dimitris is fab.
Lovely Greek/Mediterranean food. I think even Tourettes would give it the thumbs up.

Now holds the title of my favouritet restaurant,
Since Ristorante Italia (at the other end of Deansgate) became a generic pizzeria.

The wonderful B3tans that are Enzyme and Bearpookie both live in Manchester.
Gaz them for fun and frolic ideas.

I was a student in Manchester
but I was drunk most of the time so I can't remember much.

And then the IRA did some re-modelling so I would imagine everything has changed.
