Ice-cream and soup
is what you want to eat, with maybe some bread in the soup to make it all soggy.

If I could choose my eyes I'd like to have gold with hourglass pupils.

Weirdo
the ice cream will melt really quickly in the soup. Unless it's gazpacho.
(, Mon 6 Jul 2009, 10:32, Reply)
Silly
Ice-cream doesn't go with gazpacho soup, everybody know that.

Goat-eyes?

(, Mon 6 Jul 2009, 10:32, Reply)
why are goat eyes like they are?
they freak me out
(, Mon 6 Jul 2009, 10:36, Reply)
Purely to freak you out.
Nah, as far as I'm aware it's to enhance peripheral depth perception.

EDIT: Wikipedia agrees.
(, Mon 6 Jul 2009, 10:38, Reply)
Surely the devil himself
should be used to goat eyes?
(, Mon 6 Jul 2009, 10:40, Reply)
The devil
has blue eyes and a charming smile
(, Mon 6 Jul 2009, 10:42, Reply)
they're usually either rolled back in the head of gouged out
by the time they get to me.

I mean, what are you talking about?
(, Mon 6 Jul 2009, 10:43, Reply)

Did you ever read the "Dragonlance" books
there was a mage who had eyes just like that (I think his name was Raistalin).
(, Mon 6 Jul 2009, 10:32, Reply)
Yup I read them
Raistlin was my favourite character.
(, Mon 6 Jul 2009, 10:39, Reply)
are they any good?
I need some new books to read.
(, Mon 6 Jul 2009, 10:50, Reply)
they're ok
not as good as a lot of fantasy stuff that isn't based on dungeons and dragons
(, Mon 6 Jul 2009, 10:54, Reply)
They're OK
I read them years ago when I was playing DnD a lot. If you want a good set of books to read try The Chronicles of Thomas Covenant, the Unbeliever Book 1 - Lord Foul's Bane, Book 2 - The Illearth War, Book 3 - The Power that Preserves.

I found these to be far better.
(, Mon 6 Jul 2009, 11:00, Reply)
ta my lovely!
I'll try to get my hands on some copies.
(, Mon 6 Jul 2009, 11:03, Reply)
I find thomas covenant too much of a whingy cunt
I prefer Donaldson's sci fi stuff, the Gap Series. Pretty dark though, especially the first one.

for fantasy I would recommend Robin Hobb's Farseer stuff, Tad Hamilton's stuff is pretty good. and you can't go wrong with Anne McCaffrey's dragonriders stuff for something a bit different.
(, Mon 6 Jul 2009, 11:03, Reply)
The Gap series is fantastic
Some of the best books I've read, very dark, and sometimes a bit unsettling. I do agree the Covenant is a whingy cunt though. Never read any Hobb's stuff, and I've never got into Hamilton or McCaffrey.
(, Mon 6 Jul 2009, 11:13, Reply)
Hamilton is slightly far-fetched
the hero is a ginger.

the Robin Hobb stuff is very good though. unfortunately I've lent 2 (or 4) of them to someone and have no idea who. pissed me right off.
(, Mon 6 Jul 2009, 11:18, Reply)
I'll have to pick
Some up the next time I'm in a bookshop then.
