How crappy. I use one of those scanners all day every day to scan letters.
Absolutely hate it because it always mangles things...

Is this why it's kept in a room of it's own?
It causes it's operators to lose their temper, and is therefore not allowed to play with the other scanners.

Don't they have automatic scanners where you just put all the forms on one big glorious pile and scan the lot of them in one go?

Ours we scan five letters per batch and separate them with barcodes.
Except the scanner doesn't always register them and Gods forbid you put too many pages in at once; then it jams up and the driver has a shit-fit. And I have to call IT and get them to fix it.

Yep
And we have one. But it "only fits 50 sheets at a time".

Realistically, it's about 35, then I have to put more on. Now when you consider that I've scanned more than 2,700 tonight, why I'm close to killing someone!

Also, our scanner is in an open plan office, so I can't threaten it quite the way I want to!

I'm off to Porta Del Carmen in Lanzarote. Not the greatest place I know, but it'll be my longest holiday (2 weeks) in 13 years.

Also, it's my last hurrah with a friend before she goes to Uni!
