morning sports fans
what's up today?

I have nothing eventful planned. as days go, today is going to be right up there with the most mundane of days. still probably more interesting than HSH ;-)

Work
Work, more work, light showers of work, then yet more work. Then shopping, if I remember.

Inspiring thread there :p
I'm trying to design referral forms in Word. How incredibly frustrating it is. I might have to find a copy of Quark before the day is out.

I can't believe the HSH threads are back
Actually, what I don't believe is that they disappeared and stayed away until becky's back at work. It's like the goofy kids who hide in the remedial class til the bigger boys go for their lunch.

yeah, it does seem to be that way.
as long as the reasonably interesting threads continue as well then I'm content. yesterday had a good crop I thought.

Agreed
It'd be nice if they used smaller bloody images though...
(, Wed 15 Jul 2009, 9:03, Reply)
Don't care about image sizes as much
as the colours in the psychedelic one that make me have a seizure when I see it.
(, Wed 15 Jul 2009, 9:06, Reply)
Agreed.
At least it's not the animated one any more.
(, Wed 15 Jul 2009, 9:09, Reply)
You could just troll them into submission,
it's not that hard, they're all wimps.
(, Wed 15 Jul 2009, 9:12, Reply)
I don't actually care.

(, Wed 15 Jul 2009, 9:18, Reply)
I don't care to the point of doing anything about it
but they didn't used to be as insipidly dull as they are currently.
(, Wed 15 Jul 2009, 9:42, Reply)
I've adblocked them all I think
not great having a massive flashing image saying home sweet home when you are trying to look like you are working
(, Wed 15 Jul 2009, 9:22, Reply)
Agreed
I just wrote to them about this without seeing this comment. Now I feel I have solidarity from you lot. That fecking huge multi-coloured banner makes anyone passing by notice it, which in turn makes it obvious that you're a time-wasting gimp at work. Not good.

Off to Preston!
Taking boy over for an interview at Myerscough (with forge assessment) to get a place on a farriery course. Should be good. Nice leisurely drive over and an overnight in Bilsborrow. Play nice while I'm gone.

nice
I'd enjoy doing that sort of thing

if they ask him if he's ever shoed a horse get him to say "no but I told a donkey to fuck off"

edit: not sure what happened with that double post there.
(, Wed 15 Jul 2009, 9:38, Reply)
Haha yeah
Or 'No, but I once fitted a camel for two pairs of brogues.'
(, Wed 15 Jul 2009, 9:41, Reply)
I love that joke

(, Wed 15 Jul 2009, 9:41, Reply)
Work
But then I'm going to a gig in that there Lundun this evening. Saarf of the river no less (well, its actually on the river). Should be fun.
(, Wed 15 Jul 2009, 9:47, Reply)
NIN/JA?
If so, then hope you have huge amounts of fun!
(, Wed 15 Jul 2009, 9:50, Reply)
Nope
Jesca Hoop at Tamesis Docks. It's sort of folky.
(, Wed 15 Jul 2009, 9:54, Reply)
Ah!
Quite a few folks that I know are off to the O2 for NIN/JA tonight, so figured you might be too.
Well, have fun all the same!
(, Wed 15 Jul 2009, 9:55, Reply)
I hope to
She's weird and mellow and just slightly folk, but from what I've been able to find out the support acts are full-on aran sweater wearing nasal drone folk singers. Yikes.
