'ning!
I'm being terribly grown up. I is ironing and paying my credit card bill, which because of some bizarre techno reasons I am unable to do on line.

So I've just written a cheque for 66 pence.

'Ning DG
Who do you bank with? TwatWest have locked me out of online banking 3 times now for no good reason...

*likes the idea of the credit card company receiving a 66p cheque*
(, Sun 26 Jul 2009, 17:19, Reply)
It's a Goldfish card
Who are now owned by Barclays, with whom I already bank.

I thought I'd paid the fecker off last month, but this 66p is interest, so maybe I missed the cut off point last month. I was a bit late.

I thought about ringing them but figured it would probably cost more than the stamp!

I *think* it might cost them more to process that cheque than the value.

(, Sun 26 Jul 2009, 17:32, Reply)
We get that with euro and USD cheques at work.
People send them back claiming the bank wants the value of the cheque and then some to cash it!

If nothing else it'll piss them off :)
(, Sun 26 Jul 2009, 17:39, Reply)
It probably will
Which was another reason for writing the cheque!

If they quibble over 66p
they don't really deserve it!
(, Sun 26 Jul 2009, 17:47, Reply)
If they quibble
I'll just tell them I tried to pay it on line and couldn't.
(, Sun 26 Jul 2009, 17:48, Reply)
Exactly - they were unable to provide you with the service you required.
take the service personality hat off, Mal, it's five to six on a Sunday.

I always wanted a Goldfish one
just because they look cool!

Evening DG
That's all very conscientious of you.

I'm nomming lasagne and assaulting my eardrums with 'Nurse, Please Prep The Patient For Sexual Doctor' by Daughters. Crazy Canucks!

Did she burn the pizza?

Who, the missus?
No, they were all of teh nom.
(, Sun 26 Jul 2009, 17:29, Reply)
Is pizza ever not
all of the nom?

Actually, yes, it can be; there's one takeaway in Ashford that charges you £10 for a 9" wheel of cheese on toast...
(, Sun 26 Jul 2009, 17:46, Reply)
Home made pizzas are the way to go.
We haven't bought any in since she learned how to make the base during a lesson at the school she works in. They're fucking lovely!
(, Sun 26 Jul 2009, 17:47, Reply)
Ooo. This intrigues me
since my flatmate and I spend a bomb on Dominos when we can't be arsed to cook! My mother used to make them with wholemeal bases and they were foul...
(, Sun 26 Jul 2009, 17:55, Reply)
Definitely make your own bases.
It's fucking easy and you can then chuck whatever you want on top.
(, Sun 26 Jul 2009, 17:58, Reply)
I shall investigate the contents of my cupboards.
We always have a ton of cheese in the flat, and anything else can easily be chucked on top (am quite partial to tuna myself).
(, Sun 26 Jul 2009, 17:59, Reply)
We tried using half white and half wholemeal flour last night.
All white is definitely better.

She's just been given a recipe to make nan bread as well, so will definitley be trying that out at some point.

Right, the in laws have arrived, best be sociable!

Have fun!
I now want to make pizza even though I have discovered two GIANT ones in the freezer my flatmate brought home yesterday.
