well, except for this morning when I dropped my car off at the garage and did some shopping.
( , Wed 5 Aug 2009, 19:09, Reply)

Should have bought a bottle of wine too, would have saved me the trip to the shop I just did.

I haven't brought new clothes since 2007, except more pants when it was too much effort to wash my existing clothes
( , Wed 5 Aug 2009, 19:37, Reply)

Bored out of my skull though due to all the organised friends being away (so nothing going on), and most of the people I want to talk to online being out of communication.

I'm doing overtime remotely from home.
What the fuck is wrong with me?
( , Wed 5 Aug 2009, 19:18, Reply)

I told the boss I was doing 3 hours' worth tonight to get our inbox down to a manageable level. Only another hour and 32 minutes to go and I will have earned 36 shiny pounds!
( , Wed 5 Aug 2009, 19:28, Reply)

I have to put up with bank transfers. Don't get to see any of that money until I spend it.
( , Wed 5 Aug 2009, 19:34, Reply)

I wouldn't be doing this if I didn't need the money. I'm very very overdrawn :( It's quite nice to sit and work with music on and with a cup of tea (no music allowed in the office).

Something about being one team.

that I want to either squeeze a rickroll on to (since I know it has a USB port and can therefore accommodate speakers) or add a slide to that just says OBEY.
( , Wed 5 Aug 2009, 20:11, Reply)

and fix it so removing it =instant rickroll
( , Wed 5 Aug 2009, 20:13, Reply)

because he knows I'd do something completely insane and probably break it!
( , Wed 5 Aug 2009, 20:16, Reply)

Or try and access the web-caches of the company directors and cycle through the caches' image-contents.
( , Wed 5 Aug 2009, 20:16, Reply)

although I have noticed that it doesn't block Google Cache, so I could read vintage QOTW if I so wished...

I'm not keen on the idea of my b3ta login turning up on the work server, though...
( , Wed 5 Aug 2009, 20:36, Reply)

Even though I'm one of the lucky few to have an Internet Laptop on my desk, I still use my iPhone for b3ta-ing (b3ating?).
( , Wed 5 Aug 2009, 20:39, Reply)

Am looking into a data bolt-on, or Pot was going to hook me up with a contract with unlimited data to feed my b3ta habit, except my phone doesn't like pages over a certain size :(

Two Christmases ago, we got everyone in the office a free iPod. So we encourage people to listen to mp3s. Of course back in the days of slacker attitudes to office Internet access, I'd download shed-loads of mp3s at work.
( , Wed 5 Aug 2009, 20:12, Reply)

Would mean I wouldn't have to listen to the latest from Strictly Come Dancing!
( , Wed 5 Aug 2009, 20:17, Reply)

Or is that just the taste of one of the Higher-Ups with music-listening privileges?
( , Wed 5 Aug 2009, 20:32, Reply)

am not a fan. Not even slightly, and unfortunately I am alone in my despising of musical theatre, too!
( , Wed 5 Aug 2009, 20:36, Reply)

I used to work in a place where listening to my colleagues banter would make me want to demolish the contents of my desk using only a pencil strapped to my forehead. Nowardays, I work in a place where half the banter is in a foreign language.
( , Wed 5 Aug 2009, 20:41, Reply)

I say "have to" - we rarely do :(
( , Wed 5 Aug 2009, 20:52, Reply)

9.08 - I've done my 3 hours and am now free! :)
( , Wed 5 Aug 2009, 21:09, Reply)

( , Wed 5 Aug 2009, 21:33, Reply)

and my boss will cunt me in the fuck with a P45 if no work gets done... we're a bit slow at the moment so I've taken one for the team and am going through the emails answering the ones I don't need the work-based systems for...
( , Wed 5 Aug 2009, 19:29, Reply)

ninja-emailing Pot at work, and after four when the bosses have gone home we all just take the piss out of one another while we work, and drink tea. It's almost like OT.

Yesterday at work, things were so b0rked that one of the heads of department who had only come back from a holiday two days ago told me he'd rather be a shepherd on a mountain far away.

wants to be a train manager on the Javelins. £25 grand to walk up and down a train all day!
( , Wed 5 Aug 2009, 20:05, Reply)

Went on yet another walk with my walking-group yesterday. My fitness must have been boosted by Saturday's walk, and was now at the front of the group most of the time.
( , Wed 5 Aug 2009, 20:15, Reply)

Don't miss the commute, I just miss being in the centre of everything. And the Krispy Kreme seller in Waterloo who always gave me discount :)
( , Wed 5 Aug 2009, 20:16, Reply)

but I have the advantage of not having everything on top of me all the time.
( , Wed 5 Aug 2009, 20:33, Reply)

and I didn't love my flat a big huggy bunch, I'd want to move back to Canterbury. Longer commute to London even with the Javelin, but much nicer.
