I saw Clutch there a little while ago
nice dirty rock venue. should be good.
(, Fri 14 Aug 2009, 12:12, Reply)
Yeah,
It's good for gigs, but shit for a night out. Dead as the grave on non-band nights.

Extremely dirty though :D

EDIT: Also, I picked up Clutch's "Strange Cousins From The West" at the weekend. I'm enjoying it so far, need to "get into it" a bit more though.

I've not got that album
I can recommend Blast Tyrant, or From Beale St to Oblivion
(, Fri 14 Aug 2009, 12:34, Reply)
It's the new one,
Worth grabbing if you're thus inclined.
I need to get the two you mention actually, you're the third person to recommend them to me.
(, Fri 14 Aug 2009, 12:37, Reply)
did you get that thing I sent you?

(, Fri 14 Aug 2009, 12:38, Reply)
I did, yeah
But my 'net at home is a blistering 27kbs.
(, Fri 14 Aug 2009, 12:41, Reply)
that's no good
took me ages to upload it. absurdly long.
(, Fri 14 Aug 2009, 12:50, Reply)
I'm gonna download it here,
Then take it home on my USB drive.
(, Fri 14 Aug 2009, 12:53, Reply)
good plan
hope you enjoy it. we're quite pleased with the way it is going.
(, Fri 14 Aug 2009, 12:55, Reply)
I shall give you the usual feedback!

Come one, you can do better than that.
(, Fri 14 Aug 2009, 11:53, Reply)
Well done.

(, Fri 14 Aug 2009, 11:54, Reply)
I hope you break a string on your guitar.

(, Fri 14 Aug 2009, 11:55, Reply)
That'd be quite an achievement,
Considering I won't be playing one.
(, Fri 14 Aug 2009, 11:56, Reply)
Ha Ha! You're Bez arent you?
DANCE MONKEY DANCE!
(, Fri 14 Aug 2009, 12:07, Reply)
Haha!
Nah, singing and playing bass. Just being a pedantic sod.
I've broken bass strings before, but it's no easy thing to do.
(, Fri 14 Aug 2009, 12:09, Reply)
the bass is a guitar, it's a bass guitar
so really you are wrong with your pedantry
(, Fri 14 Aug 2009, 12:12, Reply)
Without getting into a huge debate,
I'm kinda sure that the bass is "descended" from the double bass, so isn't technically a guitar.
Really, really pedantic, sorry :p

(, Fri 14 Aug 2009, 12:15, Reply)
irrelevant
it is tuned the same as a guitar (albeit with different number of strings) and is held in a very similar way.

ignoring terminology it is a guitar in a bass range. thus, a bass guitar.
(, Fri 14 Aug 2009, 12:19, Reply)
But does it go hard or soft
If you leave it out on a kitchen worktop?
(, Fri 14 Aug 2009, 12:21, Reply)
haha

(, Fri 14 Aug 2009, 12:35, Reply)
My TwoPennies worth
A Bass Guitar is a guitar that has been made to play the bass tones by giving it 4 much thicker strings and a longer neck. Its not descended from the double bass.

(, Fri 14 Aug 2009, 12:12, Reply)
