I
played a very well received gig at a private party. They loved us, people were dancing, it was awesome.
Bought some new boots
Cooked and devoured delicious bbq ribs
Drank and smoked a lot
Had some great sex
Played San Andreas
Watched the Incredible Hulk
Ate delicious sausage casserole

Best thing I've discovered this weekend: Walls mini chocolate Twister ice creams. they are fucking amazing.

Jesus
how smug do you sound.
(, Mon 17 Aug 2009, 9:22, Reply)
no more smug
than some of the other posts saying similar things.

But they don't have a reputation and so pointing out that they sound smug wouldn't be funny

(, Mon 17 Aug 2009, 9:32, Reply)
that's what I thought
it's much less funny in that sort of situation though.

Sausage casserole?
To a recipe, or do you make it up as you go along?
(, Mon 17 Aug 2009, 9:24, Reply)
He looks smugly at his sausages
and they just jump into the pot with some carrots and onions.

made it up
browned sausages, removed from pan
soften onions, and lots of garlic
add celery, carrots, round yellow courgette thing, mushrooms and fry for a bit
add tin of chopped tomatos and sausages back to pan, bung in a load of red wine
add beef stock, salt, pepper, half tsp of hot smoked paprika
add a load of lime juice to counteract the heat of the overdose of hot smoked paprika
simmer for about an hour or until it is the appropriate thickness. add tin of sweetcorn.

I'm making this for dinner now
do you eat it on it's own or with potatoes?
(, Mon 17 Aug 2009, 9:34, Reply)
I cooked one of those part-baked baguettes
which went really nicely.

Mmmmmm

(, Mon 17 Aug 2009, 9:35, Reply)
the lime juice thing was an after thought
because the paprika really gave it a kick, but the flavour of lime really enhanced the whole thing.

Bizarrely
Sugar 'quietens down' dishes you've accidentally over-spiced.

Sounds nice apart from the celery which I can't stand - ruiner of stews, to my mind...
