I foolishly decided
to descale the office kettle before I made myself a coffee. I now need to wait for half an hour before I can use it.

What should I do to perk myself up in the meantime.

Biol the kettle with the de-scaler in it.
It's much quicker. Plus, if you're using a proprietary brand rather than just citric acid, and if you use too much, it makes a really satisfying mess.

If you run the hot tap long enough
you get just about hot enough water to make a passable cup of coffee. (caffene addict shame)
