Then Lancaster. But he's going on a sixth month world tour in January. Not that it'll last long or anything, knowing me. But its only going to get harder to see each other after I leave, and I just want him NOW.

Sadly, I barely remember being her age.
It was a very non-descript year. I failed A levels, worked in telesales, and drank myself into oblivion most nights.

I'm the same
I once had the sex crazed ladies (well, for one party anyway) and then they were girlfriends, not nearly as much fun.

I'm the same with a full time job. It's hideously depressing being in a dead end job at the age of 21, knowing that without any qualifications, I stand no chance of getting anything better, even though I know I'm skilled enough.

I was hired as a data assistant (checking data, printing, assembling jobs, etc). Now I'm the casino contact (15+ calls per day), network administrator, technical consultant (as in, my boss gives me a piece of paper with a piece of hardware on there, and wants me to find out everything about it), and the mug who sets up PC's, as well as fixing them.

The reason I'm fucked off, is because I'm doing all this for the same wage I was hired on. I've made up my mind though, in the new year I'm going to speak to them about a pay review. If they refuse, I'm leaving as soon as I can find a job with equal (or better) pay, because the stress just isn't worth it.

to the fucking new year? Unless they have policy against raises during the year, do it now. If nothing else, you'll find out how valued you really are (i.e. not very) - they'll say one of three things in all honesty - No/Let's review in x time/ OK. What's the worst that can happen

The reason I'm waiting
Is because Big Boss seems to think that as a company we're likely to under at any second, even though we're busier than we have been in years!

That would be his excuse to me. If my (fair) response was this -
"Ok then, so why have you just hired a new person, gave someone a large payrise (deserved, don't get me wrong) and elected to start a new branch of the company again?" - he'd bring up mistakes I have made in the past. Fair enough, but when one thing he calls up is the fact I got a disciplinary this year for 'not reporting sick days'* it winds me the fuck up!

* He claims he knows for a fact that I was off for more days than I marked. Interestingly, no one else could be certain, but his intuition was enough for him. He decided to extend my Final Written Warning for 9 months, for the second time. (I deserved the original warning, nearly cost us a very good account. The second one is because he felt I wasn't working hard enough, despite evidence to the contrary.)

whenever i applied
i used to only give out references when I went for the interview/got the job - so much easier. not everyone follows the "don't contact" stip.
