Thank Fuck It's Saturday. But you know when you spend all week getting up at 7am, and every morning you wish you could sleep as long as you like. Next thing you know, come Saturday and you wake up at 7am on the dot as fresh as a kipper on coke. Well that was me today.
So I've been listening to some quite mellow albums as it rains outside. I can sup tea and feel all warm. Currently listening to Air - Moon Safari, but I've gone through Wish You Were Here (Floyd) and Terror Twilight by Pavement.. Anyone have any nice recommendations?
Alternatively - what's on this weekend? On a scale of 1 to 10 how drunk are you getting?

recommended Imogen Heap at the concert last night. I'm currently checking her out on Spotify.

Went to bed at 1am and had to get up at 5.30am. What a GORGEOUS day though!

If you like Air, this is similar but a little more upbeat.

Pixie Lott - Too Late to Apologise (Acoustic Version)
Slayer - Cult (Album Version)
Slipknot - Before I Forget
I got a bit drunk last night but not too much. I played pool the worst I've ever played, I talked about psychometric testing of infants and I danced with Wookiee to various cheesy rock tracks.
Tonight I'm off out with a b3tan (he's sexy and he's been working out) to watch Orange Goblin.
Tomorrow I might play Space Hulk.

I'm sat sipping tea at my ladyfriend's listening to some 60s stuff.
I shall no doubt get absolutely plastered later on as the sibling's coming over for a piss up.

I am very excited about seeing large hairy men later :)

Goodbye by Ulrich Schnauss
Songs For The Road by David Ford
Open Heart Zoo by Martin Grech
The second disc of In Your Honour by Foo Fighters
And I'm working all day, so when it comes to Play Time I'm gonna be knackered. Still going to try for at least 6/10 on the falling-over scale though.

Going to have some old school home made hot-dogs with cheese, onions, ketchup and mustard. Cup of tea to wash it down!!!
Enjoy your session, think I'll have a few beers with the Spurs ManU game and see where it goes... 3-6/10 I reckon

Sorry - it's just that when I'm in bad mood, rock and metal really de-stresses me.
That Pixie Lott track is mellow in the usual description.

Nothing like shouting along to something really fucking heavy to blow the stress out, but I wouldn't call it mellow.
Hmm. Might start my own thread thinking about it...

Unless you don't like screeching. It's nice screeching. And nice floaty guitars.
I find Funeral by Arcade Fire great to listen to. I always thought that if things got too much, I would play it from start to finish, and if things weren't better, they were seriously wrong. It's that good an album IMO ^_^

Also it seems the BBC have a tendency to abuse Funeral for their promotion of their dramas....

Neon Bible has some excellent songs, but there is not a single song on Funeral that I dislike or even feel slightly "meh" about. There are not many albums I have (Origin of Symmetry by Muse is another one; Clor by Clor is another) that I feel that way about. It's annoying, I'd feel that way about of Montreal "Hissing Fauna, Are We The Destroyer" but there is ONE SONG I can't get into.
None of those albums are chilled, though.

Waking the Mystics by Sophe Lux
Anything by Banco de Gaia
Do try the Bombay Dub Orchestra - ambient electronica with an indian feel.

Look for anything by Andy Mckee - his "all laid back and stuff" is the most chilled acoustic guitar piece ever!
Also try Erik Mongrain's "Air tap" - awesome.
I'm just about to go sit on my balcony in the sun and play my babicz for a bit.
