Did the onions remind you of your dead father who used to beat you with his squash shoes?

What you need to do
Is stick your tongue out while chopping. All the fumes are physamagically attracted to the wetness of your tongue instead of your nostrils/eyes.

Maybe...

Incorrect sir.
What you must do is take a slice of bread, a wooden spoon, a paper tissue, and put them all in your mouth.

Then use the onion in a fine lamb casserole.

.
I half fill the sink with clean water, then cut off the top and bottom while the onion is underwater. Then, after removing all the skin, I cut the onion in half underwater too.

Never affects my eyes when I do that.
