DOGGY DOGGY DOGGY DOGGY DOGGY DOGGY
I'm going to get a dog, this year some time, I've been saying that since I was 5, but now it's gonna happen !

What kind of dog shall I go for? I don't know, nothing that can't live in a flat with a little bit of outdoors space. I'm thinking Pug or King Charles, if it's a pug I'll call it Pugasorous or Monster*, and if I get a King Charles I'll call it "Madam" or something like that.

Paws** for thought and tell me you tails** about the joy, or hell, of living with a dog.

P.S - my housemates don't know about this, I think it'll make a nice supprise for them.

* That was my dad's knickname for me.
** DO YOU SEE WHAT I DID THERE?

Awwwww, that's cute

(, Fri 9 Oct 2009, 18:57, Reply)
I'm still lolling at that, not the trick but when you said "I hate you"
HAhahahaha good times

And windows.
(, Fri 9 Oct 2009, 18:57, Reply)
And sexface

(, Fri 9 Oct 2009, 18:57, Reply)
Oh god, I hadn't thought of that
Gonz, you MUST NOT GET A DOG. That would be too cruel.
(, Fri 9 Oct 2009, 18:58, Reply)
I've not told him yet, but the dog is getting his room.

(, Fri 9 Oct 2009, 19:02, Reply)
I would like it to be known, and I need to stres this, I would never intetionaly jam a penny down the dog's throat, or swing it full pelt at a window
Such things I do not look kindly on, nor people who do such horrible things.

Fuck you!
Although it did give me LOL's that you said that!

Shiba Inus rock.

They need a lot of attention, but they're very loving and adaptable, although you would need to groom it every day because they moult a lot.

They're like tiny pet wolfs, AWESOME.
I've been told to get a poodle cross-bread as they don't malt at all.
(, Fri 9 Oct 2009, 19:09, Reply)
A Labradoodle!
Go on, they're adorable. I'd love a wolf dog; either one of these or a husky.
(, Fri 9 Oct 2009, 19:15, Reply)
They're awesome dogs, labradoodles.

(, Fri 9 Oct 2009, 19:51, Reply)
I want a pug
But wikipedia tells me I have to clean its folds on its face? Is this true? I can't be arsed with that kind of thing. Stupid Pug...
(, Fri 9 Oct 2009, 19:05, Reply)
I have to clean the folds on my face.

(, Fri 9 Oct 2009, 19:13, Reply)
It's on Wikipedia.
Does that answer your question?

;)

Get a mongrel,
less inbred generally healthier, cheaper.
(, Fri 9 Oct 2009, 19:07, Reply)
this
rescue a dog from DEATH
(, Fri 9 Oct 2009, 19:08, Reply)
Go to Battersea Dog's Home and ask
"Which one's been here the longest?"
(, Fri 9 Oct 2009, 19:14, Reply)
Within reason, I'm not really bothered about initial expenses,
as I expect it'll last around 15 years or soo, so what's a few hundred quid more.

But if it's less in terms of it costing a bundle to look after it, then that's a different story. I don't think I would get a purebread, I would like a rescue dog, but one that's house trained (should such a thing exist).
(, Fri 9 Oct 2009, 19:13, Reply)
Pedigrees are usually much more prone to genetic problems and infection than a mongrel.
gaz becky or Esme for advice they're the experts.
(, Fri 9 Oct 2009, 19:17, Reply)
I deffo will.
I wonder if there is a place where I can borrow one for a month to see if I get on with dogs or something.
(, Fri 9 Oct 2009, 19:36, Reply)
they do!
go on, show some love at the local pound
(, Fri 9 Oct 2009, 19:17, Reply)
Mixed breed.
Preferably part Golden Retriever, as they're very sweet tempered and affectionate. But don't get a pure breed one, as they'll be expensive and inbred.

Hell, if you want expensive and inbred go after Paris Hilton.
(, Fri 9 Oct 2009, 19:25, Reply)
it's no fun to cuddle a bag of bones!
my neighbor has a mix black lab and pit, he's sooooo effin cute and loveable. Likes to jump. And tear off my shirts.
(, Fri 9 Oct 2009, 19:35, Reply)
Staffordshire Bull Terrier
Contrary to belief, they are sweet natured, loyal and daft as a brush. Get a rescue one as there's loads being dumped.

And feed it the BARF diet. Cheaper than normal dog food and a hell of a lot healthier.
(, Fri 9 Oct 2009, 19:36, Reply)
I wished I liked them but I just don't.
There is something about them that I don't like, I think it's the fact that every time I take it for a walk 'round here, someone will ask me if I want to fight with it =(
(, Fri 9 Oct 2009, 20:07, Reply)
Saying that though, if I meet one, I reckon I would love them just as much as any other dog.

(, Fri 9 Oct 2009, 20:20, Reply)
do the decent thing
some mutt from the pound, and shower it with love.
(, Fri 9 Oct 2009, 21:32, Reply)
Something small and fluffy
And call it Fang.
(, Fri 9 Oct 2009, 23:32, Reply)
not to piss on your parade, but...
have you considered the possibility your flatmates might be allergic to animals?
