I'm going to get a dog, this year some time, I've been saying that since I was 5, but now it's gonna happen !
What kind of dog shall I go for? I don't know, nothing that can't live in a flat with a little bit of outdoors space. I'm thinking Pug or King Charles, if it's a pug I'll call it Pugasorous or Monster*, and if I get a King Charles I'll call it "Madam" or something like that.
Paws** for thought and tell me you tails** about the joy, or hell, of living with a dog.
P.S - my housemates don't know about this, I think it'll make a nice supprise for them.
* That was my dad's knickname for me.
** DO YOU SEE WHAT I DID THERE?

Gonz, you MUST NOT GET A DOG. That would be too cruel.

Such things I do not look kindly on, nor people who do such horrible things.

They need a lot of attention, but they're very loving and adaptable, although you would need to groom it every day because they moult a lot.

I've been told to get a poodle cross-bread as they don't malt at all.

Go on, they're adorable. I'd love a wolf dog; either one of these or a husky.

But wikipedia tells me I have to clean its folds on its face? Is this true? I can't be arsed with that kind of thing. Stupid Pug...

"Which one's been here the longest?"

as I expect it'll last around 15 years or soo, so what's a few hundred quid more.
But if it's less in terms of it costing a bundle to look after it, then that's a different story. I don't think I would get a purebread, I would like a rescue dog, but one that's house trained (should such a thing exist).

I wonder if there is a place where I can borrow one for a month to see if I get on with dogs or something.

Preferably part Golden Retriever, as they're very sweet tempered and affectionate. But don't get a pure breed one, as they'll be expensive and inbred.
Hell, if you want expensive and inbred go after Paris Hilton.

my neighbor has a mix black lab and pit, he's sooooo effin cute and loveable. Likes to jump. And tear off my shirts.

Contrary to belief, they are sweet natured, loyal and daft as a brush. Get a rescue one as there's loads being dumped.
And feed it the BARF diet. Cheaper than normal dog food and a hell of a lot healthier.

There is something about them that I don't like, I think it's the fact that every time I take it for a walk 'round here, someone will ask me if I want to fight with it =(

have you considered the possibility your flatmates might be allergic to animals?
