Consultation weekend
visiting family and friends and making phone calls, talking things through with daughter trying to decide whether I should apply for residency and start the process of getting a council house. I've resisted all state help so far but it seems almost sure she'll be living with me from now on.

A friend of mine said the same thing when I told her how much I earn.
I've tried to stand on my own two feet for the past two years but with kiddo living with me I can't really manage any more, so I'm gonna apply for whatever I can get next week.

While I've been wary of saying such things in the past
she's made such a fucking mess of the past two years and her relationship with her kids that I'd be utterly astonished if it went her way. I'm not getting my hopes up because I haven't even come to terms with starting the process yet, but I'm underlyingly confident.
