I went there at lunchtime just to take my fake fur yeti jacket back, (I mean for God's sake I'm 44 and it looked ridiculous), and came out with a cheeta print fake fur coat, a fleece throw and a hand held massager.
I need to get a boyfriend soon because I think I'm filling the void in my life with shopping.
What ridiculous things that you didn't need have you bought lately?
Edit - besides my mum.

* I've been using that word a bit, but I can't work out what it means, in regards to "Forgive us those who tresspass against us, as we forgive those we tresspass against".

Where do you get your shoes from? I know a few girlies with size 8 feet that manage okay.
( , Wed 18 Nov 2009, 13:17, Reply)

There are a couple of other places but that's the main one.
Most shops go up to 8 but not beyond.
( , Wed 18 Nov 2009, 13:20, Reply)

as do M&S. Some of my best shoes have come from M&S :)

Bless her. Do you find it difficult to buy her Xmas pressies or is she quite easy to shop for?
( , Wed 18 Nov 2009, 13:12, Reply)

she used to be quite restrained when it came to clothes and stuff, but I've convinced her that bright and/or unusual things are good.
she didn't like to stand out I think, which is silly
( , Wed 18 Nov 2009, 13:17, Reply)

If you're not particularly confident with the way you look its difficult to go for clothes that will get you noticed. Once you've got the confidence there, its crazy all the way! :)
Over the past few years my wardrobe has taken on dramatic changes as my confidence has grown, I used to live in jeans and silly tees, now I'm barely out of crazy high shoes and skirts, especially at work.

High shoes aren't for everyone. You really do have to train your feet to deal with it. Hehe

Not sure how to bring up the subject of if he opened it as I still have the receipt.

When I get on the hunt for something it's like a temporary mania comes over me. My next acquisition will be 'Sea Shanties' by High Tide, who featured ex members of The Misunderstood and a future member of Hawkwind. It WILL be mine....
Snippet of the review on Julian Cope's site:
"an abundance of ever-screeching guitar work from Hill, and his vocabulary of distortion and interplay only surpassed by its volume. It SCREAMS of the hardest rock"

Bless 'em. Now doing camping holidays.
EDIT the High Tide LP's from 1969, before Simon House joined Hawkwind

Last one was a deep fryer, which I've used once. Oh, and the awesome countertop wine bottle opener, but I still use the corkscrew in the draw.
