Yo Kristine
Usually when tired at work, I just think about the bed. The book can come later.

Reading anything at the moment?

Evening W
Since I finished Homeward bound (which was the last in the series of 8 books), I've not found any dead-tree based reading-material to fill the void.

You reading anything interesting?
(, Thu 19 Nov 2009, 20:31, Reply)
Try some Charles Portis
His most famous book is True Grit - which subsequently got cowboy-Hollywood-ised featuring John "KKK" Wayne.

Don't let that put you off. True Grit is a fantastic book.

I'm re-reading "Dog of the South" for probably the fifth time and it's still fresh and very funny and wry.

Mainly the free papers on my train ride
But I did enjoy the latest Pratchet, and '50 ideas you have to know about physics'

I'm asking for Unseen Academicals for Christmas.
Saw an ad for it on the Tube the other week and spazzed very hard in front of the colleagues. They now think I'm even more mental than they did when they learned sending me an email that says "RICK ASTLEY" will reduce me to hysterics.

I tend to think about sex a lot when I'm at work.
I have no idea why.
(, Thu 19 Nov 2009, 20:43, Reply)
It's because you've got a pulse.
Happened to me a lot at work too today.
(, Thu 19 Nov 2009, 20:46, Reply)
really?
It happens to be that around 2pm I get all hot to trot and it lasts for a few hours

it's not just me, then?
(, Thu 19 Nov 2009, 20:50, Reply)
With me, it can happen at random times of the day.
But today, my text-message traffic was particularly sexy, so it was more intense today.
(, Thu 19 Nov 2009, 20:59, Reply)
Because sex is a million times more fun than work, regardless of your job.
Unless you're a hooker.

correct
One of the ways your body tries to defeat boredom is hornyness
(, Thu 19 Nov 2009, 21:13, Reply)
Then I must be near permanently bored.
Just sayin'.
(, Thu 19 Nov 2009, 21:27, Reply)
have a boredom wank then

(, Thu 19 Nov 2009, 21:28, Reply)
Now that would go down badly at work!
My office has glass walls.
(, Thu 19 Nov 2009, 21:32, Reply)
If that was the cure for workplace boredom
there'd be a massive queue for the toilets. Our office has inadequate toilet facilities, but thankfully, we're stimulated enough to fend off boredom.
(, Thu 19 Nov 2009, 21:33, Reply)
Now when you say 'stimulated...'

Our desktop wallpapers are stereogram-pr0n

So wanking has double the likelihood of making you go blind
at your place?
(, Thu 19 Nov 2009, 21:53, Reply)
It does
But thankfully, wanking opportunities at my office are few and far between. And besides, blindness at my workplace is tolerated less than at other places.

Depends how arousing your day to day work is, I guess.
On a scale of 1 to 10, where one is Michael Winner and 10 is [insert your own personal sexiest thing ever], my work is -over 9000.
