I'm so fucking tired... catnaps are not always the best idea. Feelng a bit shit.

On the good side, I passed the first stage of recruitment for the promotion and a friend who also got it is selfless enough to suggest I eliminate the competition by tying him up and locking him in a cupboard just before his interview.

Have you tried drinking a non-sugary caffeinated drink just before you catnap. Apparently, you can wake up in half an hour.

Oh, and congrats on passing the first stage. BTW I suspect your colleague was just flirting with you and not being serious. Had he been serious, he would have suggested you swallow the key.

I'm ashamed to say the catnap is normally my instinctive reaction to a cold house in the winter - get home from work, curl under the duvet and fall asleep once warm.

I reckon he was just flirting - he also wants me to get the job over him and is willing to endure being kidnapped to help my cause. Bless.

Back when I lived in a place with a gas fire, I'd just turn it on full blast whenever I got back. After cycling back in the cold and wet, it's just what I need.

If you want, I could help out with the kidnapping by transporting the cupboard somewhere random.

My heating is shit - I have storage heaters in each room and they never get the place hot enough. I'm currently wrapped in a blanket and sitting with a hot water bottle on my back...

But I'm at the mercy of my landlady to decide when it should be turned on. So my flat alternates between freezing and boiling.
