Work place bizarro
The girl across from me is having a set to, on the phone to her mum, about her not telling her she had cancer. The mum went in for a biopsy this very morning but hadn't told her, so the girl found out about it from her Aunt an hour or so ago, also on the phone, to the soundtrack of teeth gnashing and a fair bit of wailing.

It strikes me, that the fact that the woman has cancer has taken a back seat to the real issue about who she did and didn't tell that that the breast lump was malignant before she went for the biopsy. So, the woman has effectively just stepped out of the operating theatre and into a shitstorm. i'm sure she had her reasons for keeping it a secret, but that doesn't seem to be cutting any ice.

Does anyone else bear witness the cut and thrust of dysfunctional families in their workplace?

Ha,
that never registered for a minute or 2.... there seems to be plenty of cancer at the minute, but very little joy. Wait till the biopsy results come back, maybe then...

You know what,
I hadn't even considered this, hold on, i'll get someone to put me through to Oncology Department and I will see what the woman thinks.

To be honest though, I think breast cancer will have little more than a fleeting impact on the UK wide Sustrans network, with even less disruption to the Milton Keynes area.

Here's hoping!

My OG niggaz on The Redway

I'm getting regular updates on my grandad's cancer from my cousin's facebook page
I feel like battering her but she's dead hard and I'm not so I'll just have to hide her feeds or something.
And why's she putting kisses on the end of every update? Grandad hasn't got the internet, and he's asleep. I know that because she said so in her update.

Fucking irritating
Facebook plus idiot cousins equals the world knowing even the dullest to most private things about your family.

My cousin writes in chav speak, so it's hard to translate. What I can gather is that my gran is very old, and my cousin is an utter utter cunt to her immediate family members. She then goes on to apologise on fb. Every. Fucking. Day.

I kept wondering what 'use' meant
"What time are use going?"
She meant 'you' plural. I'm fine with it, phonetically. I think it's a nice regionalism.
But spelling it 'use'??? NO.

Give her a verbal warning for making a personal call during office hours
then use it as an excuse for her pay-cut in her next appraisal

Then cunt her in the fuck
