Well what a weekend. Didn't all run smoothly but had lots of laughs nevertheless.

we couldn't remember anyone else's either. Although we did do Glorious Om Riff by Gong but that has no words. We frequently fucked it up, too.

he's a young chap who lives on dartmoor, recorded his first album in his kitchen. had to turn the fridge off while recording each take.
He plays a mean fiddle, some weird 4 stringed guitar thing, and sings well
I think he's awesome, particularly live

Being a history buff I think the old traditional songs are a superb - they're a direct source of the voices of normal people, who aren't usually represented in history books. My grandfather was a renowned expert on Scottish folk songs, and as such was the editor of The Oxford Book of Ballads.
