There's snow here and snow there. It's forecast to be snowing for pretty much the entire trip and there are reports of people having to stop and sleep in their cars last night (before fresh snow) on quite a few of the roads I have to use.
What are you slightly worried about at the moment?

Apparently it's indescribably high and of regular medication standard.
Fucksocks.

First and foremost is the fact that I have next to no money. I can't afford to go out, so tonight I've bought a bottle that I plan to stretch over the whole weekend, which causes the secondary worry that I look like a blossoming alcoholic.
Also, my parents split at the beginning of the year, and I can't work out which of the two of them I should visit on Christmas day. They live too far apart for me to visit both.
I love Christmas!

bugger!
i would suggest a west-coast detour cos there's no snow in Carlisle and i bet you could get a long way down M40 before you hit the shit.
okay you then need to take the M25 clockwise or summink and it's a few more miles but you would at least be mobile and the M40 is much nicer than the M1.
and take a flask and a jumper.
and a hat.

stay west as much as you can, the snow runs from Yorkshire to those shit bits in the bottom right near France

Go West!
and from edinburgh to westmorland services will be a nice 2-2 1/2 hrs and well deserving of the bestest motorway services food in the UK.

However we only had a little bit more last night so the roads should be fairly clear.
One of the reasons there were people sleeping on their cars here was that the Orwell bridge was closed and the Copdock interchange was fucked. This meant that the a12 and a14 were going no where. I believe they are both sorted now so it might be better.
