MOAR FLUFF, you say?
I bring you loads of it in the replies.
(, Wed 23 Dec 2009, 15:54, 38 replies, latest was 16 years ago)
I present to you: Queen Josephine Teh Fluffeh.

(, Wed 23 Dec 2009, 15:55, Reply)
does not look impressed

(, Wed 23 Dec 2009, 16:00, Reply)
i thought it was more of a
sultry look
(, Wed 23 Dec 2009, 16:02, Reply)
She was being made into the bed.
She was grumpy when moved, so she got the sheets pulled up over her.

I'm not sure that she was amused.

my dad's cat likes to get under the covers when no one is home
If I go there and she's snuggled under I push her and she jumps and runs out all wonkey eyed and REEEEAAOOOOWWWWW
(, Wed 23 Dec 2009, 16:06, Reply)
I usually find Josephine on my bed
curled up into a ball next to my pillow, right about where my shoulders lie when I'm in bed. When I get in bed I scoop her up and lie down, holding her to my chest like a teddy bear, and she gets very purry and happy.

During this cold spell she only leaves that spot to get food.

nice
quilt
(, Wed 23 Dec 2009, 16:03, Reply)
Thanks!
It's Guatemalan, and is actually patches of old fabric from worn out clothing. There are chunks of denim in there, but mostly it's native cloth. The overall color scheme is a forest/mossy green.

It was one of my favorite purchases from my trip.
(, Wed 23 Dec 2009, 16:05, Reply)
that's really cool
I'm trying to avoid doing patchwork as I'm already a craft nerd, but this kind of thing make me want to try making something cool
(, Wed 23 Dec 2009, 16:12, Reply)
Apparently it's a local cottage industry.
There are LOADS of weavers in Guatemala, and the cloth they produce is like a very heavy twill- extremely thick and tough and durable, and usually brightly colored.

Being so poor they reuse everything they can until it can't be used any more, so worn out clothing gets turned into quilts. I paid something like $23 for it. The seller was pleased.

that's brilliant
time to fire up the sewing machine
(, Wed 23 Dec 2009, 16:23, Reply)
That cat is ugly.

(, Wed 23 Dec 2009, 15:57, Reply)
Strangely enough, American cats and English cats do look different.
BGB's cats have faces shaped much differently from my cats' faces, and the other English cat I've known looks just like Basement Cat and has a much different meow than any other cat I've known.

my mate's cat (called Flora Fluffles for some reason)
looks like an owl. it's brilliant. fastest fucking cat I've ever met as well

The snuggliest Queen EVAH.

(, Wed 23 Dec 2009, 15:57, Reply)
looks even less impressed

(, Wed 23 Dec 2009, 15:59, Reply)
That's her contented look.
She was being very snuggly during the snowstorm, so I got this shot of her purring against my chest.
(, Wed 23 Dec 2009, 16:01, Reply)
yeah I look like this o_O when I'm contented too

(, Wed 23 Dec 2009, 16:04, Reply)
Her eyes were mostly closed.
Here she is as a kitten:

(, Wed 23 Dec 2009, 15:58, Reply)
Lovely though they are,
if your pictures get any bigger the internet will catch fire.
(, Wed 23 Dec 2009, 16:09, Reply)
They're all around 200K or less.
Is that really that big?
(, Wed 23 Dec 2009, 16:14, Reply)
I think he meant dimensions
I've had to walk to the other end of my office to take them in in one go
(, Wed 23 Dec 2009, 16:16, Reply)
Physical rather than file size mate
I'm not moaning at you, it was a lame and desperate attempt to glean some humour from an otherwise almost totally moribund /offtopic afternoon...
(, Wed 23 Dec 2009, 16:19, Reply)
moribund indeed
I've had fuck all work this avo too, and will have even less tomorrow morning. I strongly suspect there will be about 5 of us here tomorrow, out of about 50. the lazy cunts.
(, Wed 23 Dec 2009, 16:21, Reply)
Ah.
Yeah, I did a straight dump from the camera to Photobucket, so I didn't resize them first.

Besides, I had to show her in all her fluffiness. (She's like a big cotton ball.)
(, Wed 23 Dec 2009, 16:22, Reply)
Pfft
That's what the middle mouse wheel is for. Click it on the picture and roll - voila! Assuming you're using a modern browser, that is.
(, Wed 23 Dec 2009, 16:16, Reply)
I'm using the latest firefox
and doing that brings up the drag-scroll icon (round thing with arrows) and then rolling the wheel scrolls that page as normal
(, Wed 23 Dec 2009, 16:18, Reply)
more fluff:

This is monkey. Unfortunately he died a couple of weeks ago, but this is him being a (noisy) ninja
(, Wed 23 Dec 2009, 16:16, Reply)
awww

(, Wed 23 Dec 2009, 16:22, Reply)
Josephine is very ninja-like at times
until she wants out of the room. Then she walks up me as I sleep and starts batting at my nose.

I do love hamsters, though- hard to get much cuter than that.
(, Wed 23 Dec 2009, 16:23, Reply)
Did you flush him down the toilet?

(, Wed 23 Dec 2009, 16:25, Reply)
This is Spike
he's the bestest kitteh in the world.
At least he was until I moved out, now he doesn't like me anymore :(

(, Wed 23 Dec 2009, 16:25, Reply)
i like to think
he's making a pftthh noise
(, Wed 23 Dec 2009, 16:27, Reply)

(, Wed 23 Dec 2009, 16:29, Reply)
This is my ace cat Benny at 4 weeks:

He is now approximately 426 times bigger than this nowadays, the fat lazy cunt.
