Is that a euphemism?

Good spelling.
This post sounds a tad patronising.

It is.

Monty dear boy, do you like any current music?
Aside from JSBX of course?
(, Mon 11 Jan 2010, 17:46, Reply)
On the whole no, not really
There are bands I like to go and see but they've all been going for ages.

I like Litmus, but they are effectively a fake Hawkwind.

EDIT I'm open to recommendations, though.

I only asked because I usually miss the big music threads on here now.
I think it's a bit of a shame as I spent about 4 years hating all current music, but then I got a bit bored of listening to stuff that I already knew and gave some newer bands a try and I quite like some now.

Edit: We'll meet one day I'm sure and I'll force you to listen to different music
(, Mon 11 Jan 2010, 17:53, Reply)
I look forward to that.
I won't need forcing though - I'm extremely judgemental about music (no, really?) but I'll give anything a go, before being extremely judgemental about it...

Do you know the Jim Jones Revue? He was the singer in Thee Hypnotics, a band I practically followed around like a lost dog in the 80s. If you like Jon Spencer I think you should try them. They're still going now, as well. Woo! I'm in touch with the youth of today after all!

I once proposed an East London bash.
and you pooh-poohed the very idea.

I never forget these things...

Curse your elephantine memory

(, Mon 11 Jan 2010, 18:08, Reply)
If were crude and ungentlemanly
I might suggest that it's not just my memory that is elephantine.

Luckily I am the picture of decorum and am thus way above such smutty innuendo.

MASSIVE ARSE!
(, Mon 11 Jan 2010, 18:18, Reply)

(, Mon 11 Jan 2010, 18:30, Reply)
I meant I'm not the picture of decorum

You got Elephantiasis of the nuts? Oh you poor poor man. Your ex really did a number on you

(, Mon 11 Jan 2010, 18:19, Reply)
Tru seh dat.
Joking aside, she let slip that she found £400 in a coat pocket the other day. In between berating me for not giving her enough money for our daughter.

Fuck me I would LOVE to be in a position to be able to lose that kind of cash and not notice it.
(, Mon 11 Jan 2010, 18:28, Reply)
I'd like to be in a position to find that much money every day just by going through my coats

(, Mon 11 Jan 2010, 18:31, Reply)
Same here
all I'd find is that I don't like most of my coats.

EDIT that's more than enough 'work' for one day.
