I'm going to expose my ignorance here
but who is Eddie Izzard?
(, Wed 13 Jan 2010, 9:29, 6 replies, latest was 16 years ago)
A dismally unfunny comedian
and terrible actor whose claim to fame is simply that he occasionally dresses as a woman. Incroyable.

EDIT: his other special skill is that he is dyslexic.
(, Wed 13 Jan 2010, 9:30, Reply)
naa, he's done some good stuff
couple of his standup vids are worth a watch
(, Wed 13 Jan 2010, 9:31, Reply)
You don't like him?
How surprising!
(, Wed 13 Jan 2010, 9:32, Reply)
A more self-indulgent tosser you would be hard pushed to find
Doing a routine in France in schoolboy French?

It's not often I feel sorry for our Gallic cousins but fuck me that must have been terrible. The whole things smacks of a ghastly Dave Gorman-esque self-promoting but utterly dismal 'funny idea'.
(, Wed 13 Jan 2010, 9:37, Reply)
I don't find Eddie Izzard that funny, to be honest
But I do like Dave Gorman.

Edit - and I actually quite like the French too. Must be the auld alliance.
(, Wed 13 Jan 2010, 9:39, Reply)
I'm sure you could find one. *laughs*
To be honest I don't find him that funny, I just have a thing for men in drag.
(, Wed 13 Jan 2010, 9:41, Reply)
So do I.
The 'thing' I have is called 'pity'.
(, Wed 13 Jan 2010, 9:44, Reply)

pity a claw-hammer

cross-dressing comedian
he's rather funny. I think you'd like his stuff
(, Wed 13 Jan 2010, 9:31, Reply)
He's a cross-dressing
British stand up comedian, who ran a silly number of marathons in about 7 weeks last year for charity.
(, Wed 13 Jan 2010, 9:31, Reply)
By the way
are you melting? It even made the news here that southern Australia is very hot just now.
(, Wed 13 Jan 2010, 9:32, Reply)
I was on Monday,
it was 44 degrees. Today was a much cooler 21 degrees. Yesterday it was 16 degrees, hailing, and with thunderstorms. Crazy weather.
(, Wed 13 Jan 2010, 9:38, Reply)
Unlike here
where last week it was about -12°C here overnight, but now it's not even frosty at night and it's a balmy 4°C during the day. Most of the snow's melted now, although there's still some inland. And down in England they've had more overnight.
(, Wed 13 Jan 2010, 9:40, Reply)
there was snow causing 7 hour delays just outside Exeter last night
whereas just a few miles away we had non-stop fucking cold rain. delightful
(, Wed 13 Jan 2010, 9:44, Reply)
that is mental.

(, Wed 13 Jan 2010, 9:46, Reply)
not as mental as 44 fucking degrees
and you have the temerity to call your country civilised....
(, Wed 13 Jan 2010, 9:46, Reply)
It's mental either way
With cold weather it's difficult to get around in the snow, you have to dress like a fucking Eskimo to go to the corner shop, pipes freeze and all that sort of stuff.

But if it's too hot, there's a limit to how little you can wear (either physically or for social acceptability reasons) and then you have water shortages and all.

We're never happy!

A superb stand up comedian
Ignore Monty, he clearly has no clue

*ducks face punch*

My favourite Eddie stand up is here (and I uploaded it!)
(, Wed 13 Jan 2010, 9:34, Reply)
You trannies have to stick together, I suppose.
*delivers bollock-punch*
(, Wed 13 Jan 2010, 9:37, Reply)
Cruel!
...but probably accurate!
(, Wed 13 Jan 2010, 9:40, Reply)
Haha
