My mind starts to cave in
at the mere thought of two teenage paddies deciding to call each other 'Bono Vox' and 'The Edge'.

'Good voice' in fucking Latin? You pompous, deluded bog-trotting cunt. This is clear evidence that he has ALWAYS been a cunt, rather than having become one as a result of massive wholly unmerited success.

'Great riff dere, De Edge'

'Tanks. Goes brilliantly with your excellent lyrics, Bono Vox'

my hatred has risen to unprecedented levels

The story goes...
he took it from 'Bonavox', a hearing aid shop next to a key cutters shop called 'The Edge' in Fairview in North Dublin. The Edge sign is still there but the Bonavox shop is gone. There's a Centra there now and a bank. It's just down the road from the school they and I (some years later) attended.

There was still a rake of teachers there who taught them when I was there - they all had stories. Bono was always a knobend.

but that would make him 'Bona'.
Actually seeing as he is without doubt a colossal boner that would be more than apt...

On the other hand -
The Virgin Prunes (friends of U2 at the start) were a brilliant band and should have been massive instead of these....these....

on the topic of rubbish Irish bands,
a mate of mine reckons he is personally responsible for the demise of The Golden Horde (not Genghis Khans army) cos he threw a bottle at Simon Carmody when they were a support act.

Shame your mate wasn't at an early U2 show.

funny you should say that
one of my mates uncles was a teacher there. He's a sound man. He stays in touch with a lot of past pupils including us and them boys who he would have seen play in their youth. Unfortunately, he's just not the bottle-chucking type.
