I just had sausage, red onion, mustard and ketchup rolls for lunch
I win.

Alright?
(, Tue 9 Feb 2010, 12:08, 75 replies, latest was 16 years ago)
Was it a German sausage?

(, Tue 9 Feb 2010, 12:08, Reply)
Schnell schnell, Kartoffelsalat

(, Tue 9 Feb 2010, 12:10, Reply)
isn't it kartoffelkopf that he says?
and no, it was a mixture of cumberland and lincolnshire
(, Tue 9 Feb 2010, 12:13, Reply)
no-oo?
I just wanted to say quick quick poatato salad
(, Tue 9 Feb 2010, 12:14, Reply)
Then you FAIL

(, Tue 9 Feb 2010, 12:14, Reply)
I got my first box from graze.com (free!)
Delviered to my desk! It has cajun seed mix, chocolate coated peanuts, japanese rice things and pistachios! Probably the best work treat I've ever had!
(, Tue 9 Feb 2010, 12:10, Reply)
that sounds pretty good
how did you get that for free?
(, Tue 9 Feb 2010, 12:13, Reply)
Well
when one person signs up, they give you three free tokens to give to friends. These friends once signed up similarly get three free tokens to give away.

So the next box will be £1.99 I think, but there are some awesome treats in store every week for me. O.K. so £8 a month you'll be expecting big things but there's all sorts of goodies... AND OLIVES!
(, Tue 9 Feb 2010, 12:15, Reply)
No.
For my home-made chicken and leek soup with fresh baguette simply pisses all over your rubbish lunch.
(, Tue 9 Feb 2010, 12:17, Reply)
i had homemade chicken pie at my friend's last night
I'm going to make it on Friday.
(, Tue 9 Feb 2010, 12:19, Reply)
don't be ridiculous
I had homemade soup yesterday, and despite being delicious it didn't have the awesomeness factor of a beautifully hand-crafted sausage etc. sandwich
(, Tue 9 Feb 2010, 12:20, Reply)
Sounds good
but a foot long coranation chicken baguette wins it I think ;)
(, Tue 9 Feb 2010, 12:19, Reply)
again
don't be ridiculous
(, Tue 9 Feb 2010, 12:20, Reply)
We all know he had wet ham.
As you say, ridiculous.

Does the boy think we were born yesterday...?
(, Tue 9 Feb 2010, 13:17, Reply)
I can see why he might think I was born yesterday
and he might conceivably think I'm his brother.

Can you see where I'm going with this or do I need to spell out the crude details?
(, Tue 9 Feb 2010, 13:23, Reply)
haha

(, Tue 9 Feb 2010, 13:44, Reply)
Ginsters sausage roll, a pork pie and a Breakfast wrap
All washed down with a chocolate Frijj, or possibly Yazoo, and some monster munch :0)

And a plum.
(, Tue 9 Feb 2010, 12:23, Reply)
Sounds like the meal of a student

(, Tue 9 Feb 2010, 12:24, Reply)
Nearly.
It's more the meal of a man who works in the middle of the knowhere. My only options for purchasing lunch are a council estate co-op (that scares me!) or the petrol station up the road.
(, Tue 9 Feb 2010, 12:26, Reply)
Was it a man plum?

Also do you have type 2 diabetes? Because you will...
(, Tue 9 Feb 2010, 12:26, Reply)
Yes!
Oh joy! I can't wait.

Nope, just your standard, boring plum. It's not very exciting but its quite firm so I have high hopes that it will be a rather tasty plum.
(, Tue 9 Feb 2010, 12:28, Reply)
KAO PAD KEE-MAO MOO

It was spicy and delicious
(, Tue 9 Feb 2010, 12:25, Reply)
I really really really want some Sushi.
Oh me-oh-my-oh-boy-oh-boy-oh-boy, I really could do with a nice big plate of proper Sushi.
(, Tue 9 Feb 2010, 12:29, Reply)
Seriously, I want Sushi so much right now, I might have to settle for Marks'n'Sparks sushi, which would be adiquate but not great.
Oh man, I fucking love me a bit of sushi.
(, Tue 9 Feb 2010, 12:31, Reply)
Watch out for the Polonium

(, Tue 9 Feb 2010, 12:33, Reply)
Sainsbury's sushi is a fucking insult.

(, Tue 9 Feb 2010, 13:18, Reply)
Sushi is fucking insult to the cave man who discovered fire

(, Tue 9 Feb 2010, 13:21, Reply)
'I'm Ready' by Caveman
is a fucking insult to 'Crosstown Traffic' by Jimi Hendrix, which it samples, as he commits the UK hip hop cardinal sin of 'sounding a bit American'.
(, Tue 9 Feb 2010, 13:46, Reply)
Just went on You tube

agreed.

Way to change the direction of this thread...
(, Tue 9 Feb 2010, 13:48, Reply)
Much as I love other peoples' lunches
I love Jimi Hendrix that little bit more...

To hear how it should be done here in the UK, have a listen to 'Money Mad' by the fucking brilliant London Posse. Uniquely British and all the better for it...
(, Tue 9 Feb 2010, 13:53, Reply)
Well, if we're heading off in that direction,
then calling the song I'm Ready is an insult to the classic Chicago Blues number of the same title, as popularised by Albert King but probably best done by Muddy Waters.

And for those wishing to hear how an Englishman should rap, this little celebration of tea is a perfect representation.
(, Tue 9 Feb 2010, 13:56, Reply)
Have you ever seen Waters
at the 1960 Newport Jazz Festival?

My Lord it's excellent.
(, Tue 9 Feb 2010, 13:58, Reply)
