I think he wants to know how big an audio CD is when coverted to mp3 format
rather than .wav

Have you tried, I don't know how to suggest this but maybe USE FUCKING GOOGLE.

It works out, at 129kbs, roughly 1.5mb/min, and disks are about 60-70 mins.

He said hard-drive space was an issue.
I can't tell the differeance between anything above 182 though, in general, so that's what I go for, as I don't have a decent hi-fi system.
