heh - it has become quite a popular place hasn't it?
Mind you, think I'm only going to be doing the training over there - takes about a month for the classroom experiance/learning thing. Then I can either take a job out there, or somewhere else. Kinda leaving my options open at the moment.

Wherever you go, take a large old fashioned map of the world
With all the pink british bits on. Use the word "empire" a lot.

This is definately a plan
I was thinking of employing a few locals to run errands for me, make me drinks, fan me with palm leaves and stable my elephant when I'm not riding it about town, that sort of thing.

Sorted
Have a nice time, and I'll listen out for your kidnapping on the world service.
(, Tue 16 Mar 2010, 8:42, Reply)
It'll either be that
Or arrest for being in possesion of an elephant while under the influence. One of the two.

Please get one of those hunter hats
like the hunter out of Jumanji.

I can't remember what they're called. I want to say pith, but that's the annoying bit of an orange.

Solar Topi
Or Pith Helmet

When you say 'employing'
it infers some sort of remuneration.

Perhaps 'exploiting' would be better!
(, Tue 16 Mar 2010, 8:43, Reply)
Are you some kind of leftie
Its for their own good.
(, Tue 16 Mar 2010, 8:47, Reply)
No, no.
I'm not criticising. Merely suggesting better English!
(, Tue 16 Mar 2010, 8:49, Reply)
What could be more english than exploiting forrins?

(, Tue 16 Mar 2010, 8:52, Reply)
Nothing
I just queried the use of the term 'employing'. It sounds too much like it's an official arrangement!
