which we just mold together with our notion of time to make something we call self

this. I've always rather liked the idea of sliding sideways in time, rather than on your own timeline and thus meeting a past-you without compromising yourself. Which is a bit mean

for a art photography project which is about going sideways in time. I think I have to think back inside the box a little, though

and why I make no money as an artist

for overcomplicated projects. How would you represent sliding in time though? Overlayered figures of the same person in different clothes or mediums?
(, Thu 8 Apr 2010, 16:26, Reply)
Theoretically it would be lots of time lapse photos treated like 'time slices' in a Mynoskian Cube (I have no idea how to spell this). Then the viewer would be able to walk through the time slices sideways but look at them as if they were looking back through time.
Man, I'm so pretentious

is just happily burbling and going 'that is really cool.' So it's fine. I really really wish I had artistic skill because I have far too many ideas like this

a textiles project which seems to be something about android brains and lens bugs. Not sure where that's going, but it needs to be done in a week. Hence I'm sewing like a bugger while I'm on here.
You really don't need to be artistic to be an artist

I mean I have zero talent or co-ordination for any type of creativity. I write, but anytime I've tried life-drawing, proper photography (I do it as a hobby) or even sewing I just flail.
But it would be rather nice if I did and could actually draw some of the things I think.
Android brains? In textiles? That's a different viewpoint

I am fairly sure my project's a bit crap at the moment, I'm hoping if I just keep sewing and crocheting copper wire something good will happen
*crosses fingers*

you could crochet copper wire. Will you ever get the chance to make cloth of gold?
(, Thu 8 Apr 2010, 16:44, Reply)
but if you get fine wire of any sort you can crochet it, I'm just cheap so I got a spool of copper wire from Maplin

it sounds excellent. Anything with timetravel or alternatively androids is good

so that me and my past self can hi-five each other while roasting al's mum. She likes that idea too.

It's not incest if you time travel.
(, Thu 8 Apr 2010, 16:25, Reply)
If my future self turned up and wanted in on sexy-time, then I'd think that time-travelling had really screwed with my brain, and would probably be more interested in figuring out what the fuck was wrong with future me

Only because we're both desperate enough.
I reckon it'll end with me getting frustrated and stopping me, me patting my back and trying to wipe away tears that I don't want me to see.

I've ever read.
If you managed to get past the initial 'I'm fucked in the head' and the whole horribly weird and twisted thing to have sex at all, it'd probably be quite good. No misunderstandings
