and sorry, I didn't mean to be all Psychochompy, I just hate the lyrics being posted to songs when they don't really mean anything to anyone but the poster. Proper emo.

A friend played this for me the other night and it made me laugh a lot.
Doctor: [laughs] Right, kick ass. Well, don't want to sound like a dick or nothin', but, ah... it says on your chart that you're fucked up. Ah, you talk like a fag, and your shit's all retarded. What I'd do, is just like... like... you know, like, you know what I mean, like...

If you want us to hear the song, just post the link to it and state that it amused you. Lyrics can never come across in the same way as the song itself.

It is sometimes, however, necessary to gently and lovingly guide people when they have been going wrong.

My immobility makes me closer to being an oyster, or maybe a barnacle.

It's a Warren Zevron song that can make you laugh at yourself when things seem a bit bleak. It seemed appropriate.

a) speak to me
b) make me want to laugh
They mostly just seemed like overly expletive-filled crap.

Wanderer posted that everyone was lacking humour in response to me posting Poor Poor Pitiful Me. My comment above was explaining my posting of that phrase i.e. Poor Poor Pitiful Me is another Warren Zevon song which amongst other things, details a bloke deciding to end it all by laying on a rail track only to find that it's no longer in use. It's done in a sardonic manner with bleak humour. If you remember the film The Full Monty, it's not unlike the scene where one character contemplates suicide but comes out with lines like "I'd throw myself in the river but I'm afraid of water" and so being too inept to end it all he has little choice but to laugh at himself and move on.

I don't know a lot of Zevon, so I didn't immediately recognize it. Gotta say, though, it's pretty funny.
