We've got damp in our kitchen
I just manfully ignore it and plan to repaint the day before anyone comes to look at our house if we sell.

I tried that in the bedrom (fnarr) and the wet patch went all bubbly.

In the kitchen it's gone all dusty and one bit has gone rusty
where the steel corner is rusting.

But that takes a few days to come out, so in the meantime it looks fine.

You can buy special paint for damp walls
special in that it costs twice as much

I bet it doesn't work

Seems unlikely
much like "one coat" paint often has to be applied twice.

Use rubberised waterstain covering paint.
Works like a dream for a few days. Even after that it isn't too bad.

We're going to be here for the next 5 years, it looks like,
so I think I'm going to have to MTFU and face the ruinous financial pain, otherwise the new kitchen might disintegrate.

Damp in your kitchen?
What are you gonna do?

Repeat, then try to stop thinking of it.
