My favourite DD sleaze
And the sun drips down bedding heavy behind
The front of your dress all shadowy lined
And the droning engine throbs in time
With your beating heart

And you wanted to dance so I asked you to dance
But fear is in your soul
Some people call it a one night stand
But we can call it paradise

Who wrote the lyrics?
I should know this and I should Google, but I shall admit my ignorance.
Was it SoyminLiBonn or what? They were well trippy.

Collective.
The band is credited with songwriting on the album.

Surely that's 'Warrior on the Edge of Time'?
I think you'll find it is.

I have a cock-end of a friend who is getting married on World Cup final weekend.
Fortunately, I don't seem to have been invited.

(, Wed 14 Apr 2010, 10:52, Reply)

(, Wed 14 Apr 2010, 10:59, Reply)
I think my favourite is 'Motorhead' itself
or perhaps R.A.M.O.N.E.S. as it's basically a tribute to the mighty Ramones that sounds like Lemmy singing for the Ramones, a great idea in itself - then bizarrely the Ramones themselves covered the song, just to complete the circle.

EDIT this post needs more of the word 'Ramones' in it. Ramones, Ramones.

Killed by Death

(, Wed 14 Apr 2010, 10:41, Reply)
That's not your favourite is it?
I've always found the 'everyone sing along' bit is a bit shit live.

Actually I may vote for 'Shoot you in the back'.
(, Wed 14 Apr 2010, 10:44, Reply)
I like Damage Case
key changes are the business
(, Wed 14 Apr 2010, 10:46, Reply)
I think my all time favourite may actually be Born to Raise Hell
But they're all great, it's hard to pick a winner.
(, Wed 14 Apr 2010, 10:48, Reply)
I think I'm going to go with Orgasmatron

(, Wed 14 Apr 2010, 10:50, Reply)
You're coming to the 35th Anniversary show in November of course?
Vipros is, he's swallowing his inferiority complex about 'fancy-pants London types' and leaving the scrumpy keg behind to experience the raw rock'n'roll night out of a lifetime with me.
(, Wed 14 Apr 2010, 10:54, Reply)
I am indeed coming
I need to book tickets actually.
(, Wed 14 Apr 2010, 10:56, Reply)
Right, tickets booked
I'm there

if you aren't wearing extravagent trousers I won't be impressed
it's a possibility. I'll look into sorting out tickets next month. can't do it this month as I have a holiday to pay for and need my spare cash
(, Wed 14 Apr 2010, 10:58, Reply)
gotta love that sort of thing
Motorhead is a great tune.
(, Wed 14 Apr 2010, 10:42, Reply)
particularly the original version by Hawkwind
or the demo Motorhead version with LARRY WALLIS from THE PINK FAIRIES on guitar.
(, Wed 14 Apr 2010, 10:45, Reply)
Oh yeah, well my favourit version
is the one that Lemmys mate Bob Simmons made using a piece of paper and a kazoo and that was the inspiration for everything Lemmy ever did after that. It's so rare it only existed for 33 minutes back in 1973.
(, Wed 14 Apr 2010, 10:49, Reply)
It's on the On Parole LP which you can probably get in HMfuckingV you helmet.

I preferred the first album and Astounding Sounds. Rio is just the Best etc. It is what it is and is that thing perfectly.
(, Wed 14 Apr 2010, 10:58, Reply)
Astounding Sounds I can take or leave
the first one's brilliant. Produced by Dick Taylor of the awesome Pretty Things, fact fans.

Hurry On Sundown
Is the first Hawkwind track I can remember hearing. My cousin gave me her copy of silver machine. The one in the stiff blue cardboard picture cover. And all her hawkwind albums too. I love my cousin.
