Yes, they call it the Autistic Spectrum.
If you're "autistic" then you're on the high end of the spectrum.

Yep.
You can be extremely high functioning (capable of interraction, highly intelligent but with little comprehension of other people's emotions, etc) extremely low functioning (no speech, unable to look after yourself at all and so on) or with varying degrees in between. And then there's QOTW.

There's a new series called Young, Autistic and Stagestruck which shows a real mix of people on the spectrum.
