Two hours, and two bottles of wine
and the dinner still isn't cooked. Anyone else spending a Saturday night that should be fun, in a over-heated kitchen, drinking expensive wine recklessly and waiting drearily for things to brown?

Alternatively what *are* you doing at the moment?

Evenings
I spent this evening having dinner with family after spending the day writing thousands of words and then making pretty pictures. What fun.

If things aren't brown, lash 'em under the grill.
They must be cooked by now?

Yeah all done
now 3 bottles of red, and one of dessert wine down between 4 people, one of whom barely drinks. A nice meal. Delicious lemon souffle

I can't say I'm cooking...
Instead I'm having a chilled out drink or three in my local waiting for the DJ to play something worth dancing to.

oooh, a nice bit of Aretha.

*goes off to boogie*

If you're miserable about it, wine will cure that.
