The strange plasticky smell
You get a whiff of it whenever you take a new gizmo out of its plastic wrapping. I don't know why, perhaps it's just because it smells like New Stuff to Play With - or perhaps it really is slightly intoxicating - either way, even though it's not a nice smell, it does excite me ever so slightly.

You can hang around petrol stations together and enjoy the whiff of benzene. Can't stand that one myself. I don't mind marker pens, though.
