At a gallop horses can travel 30mph
It's about 160miles from Dover to Nottingham, they got to dover at dawn, if it was summer it was possible they could get there by nightfall.

Only Good Thing
The only good thing about the Kevin Costner nonsensefest was Alan Rickman. 100% FACT.

You can stick your galloping horses up your arse sunshine
by which I mean good point, well made
(, Wed 5 May 2010, 12:53, Reply)
wouldn't that kill the horses?

(, Wed 5 May 2010, 12:58, Reply)
It's 5 and a half hours straight galloping,
you've got plenty of time to change horses and shit before sunset.
Learn some maths
(, Wed 5 May 2010, 12:59, Reply)
how would you change horses?
surely any horses brought with you would still be travelling at the same speed and therefore be almost as knackered.
(, Wed 5 May 2010, 13:01, Reply)
It's like Hertz rent-a-car.
Pick up and drop off at any point in the UK and some patsy will come and get your vehicle. You just need to ensure that they have the same level of straw in them when you finish as when you collected them, otherwise you end up paying an over-inflated fuel surcharge.

You'd change them at towns/pubs/coach houses and shit
trade in your tired horses for a new one. They used to do that.
(, Wed 5 May 2010, 13:07, Reply)
My answer is better.

You forgot that they will charge you for scratches that were already present on the horse
Also these horses are the best for handbrake turns
