Surely man's edifices are inspired by nature?

So often they defile Nature.

Although you have something here. There is something about the English cathedral which seeme to emulate the majesty of nature - as is intended I suppose.
Picture a field, and in it a solitary oak grown to full size. Now think of Salibury's spire. Which would you look at for longer?
And Durham - or Boston - cathedrals look like the rocks faith claims to be built on.

They frequently are
Pyramids are obviously man-made mountains or hill etc - but to my mind that is irrelevant when assessing the impact of said edifices.
