I tried to run 10km last night. It hurt.
I'm doing a sponsored 10km on Sunday. This, too, will hurt. I'm not looking forward to it at all :(

I started to train once, but left it after 2 weeks, as my hip got in pain.

but I thought the actual raceday was meant to be the longest run of the training schedule? Think you should be taking things easier :P

pointed out to me several times this morning - I would have preferred to have it pointed out last night! Ah well. I was a bit concerned I wouldn't be able to do it, as the most I'd run was 8km. Under an hour would be nice but realistically, I suspect 1hr 20 mins.
